Unmatched Deal
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller was an open box/returned item and my expectations were not high. I used my rewards which cover$55. Si, bascially i paid $40 for a decent controller. All the buttons function and it is far better than using any third party controllers.

Best Xbox controller available!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing has some heft to it, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying hours of play. Easily the best Xbox controller available, and that is considering the Scuf Gaming and Battle Beaver options. I love the build quality and the ease of use with the trigger stops and paddles. I can swap in and swap out paddles, the directional pad, thumbsticks, and macro's quickly and easily thanks to the clever design of the whole controller. I also like that I can adjust the thumbstick tension. The carrying case with the ability to use a charging pad from within is a nice touch.

I really want to love it
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked up this elite controller after a flood of recommendations from so many sources. I thought it would allow for some macros and other useful things through the use of the paddles but that didn't pan out. I really want to love this thing but it's hard to. The default vibration sounds like it's trying to saw itself in half. But props to them for allowing you to turn that down in the accessories app. You can make some fine tuning to your dead zones and joystick curves there as well. If you drop this controller, you'll get to pretend it's a Mr. Potato head and go hunting for the joysticks and the D pad insert. The levers on the back, as cool as they look, are useless at best and intrusive at their worst. They'd be useful if you could use them to macro together a combination of key presses or if they were a unique button recognized by game developers. But the only control you have over these things is what button to you want it to mimic. Or, realistically, what buttons do you want to accidentally press all the time? The handle grips are great and the triggers are nice as well. I like that the controller came with both a charging dock and a usb-c port. Battery life is good so far. Having the option to pick thumb sticks is a cool feature and one of the few unique aspects I think is actually useful. Being able to pick what Dpad you like is neat, but in a perfect world unless you're playing retro titles or fighting games I think it's of limited use. Unless new functionality gets added for the elite, I personally don't think it's worth it's asking price. I wouldn't buy it again. The elite is no where near 3x as nice as a standard controller but it's certainly 3x the price. If these were half the price, they'd be great.

Premium controller with issues
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I initially fell in love with the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller for its premium feel and the added customization options it brought to my gaming experience. The tactile feedback, adjustable thumbstick tension, and extra buttons were all features that greatly enhanced my gameplay, especially in competitive titles. However, my enthusiasm took a hit when I encountered control drift issues. It became increasingly frustrating as the controller started registering movement on its own, affecting my gameplay significantly. This was unexpected and disappointing, especially given the high price point of the controller. Fortunately, the controller was still under warranty, and Microsoft's customer service came through by providing a replacement. It's worth noting that this issue should ideally not have arisen, considering the premium nature of the controller and the fact that the standard controller works reliably. Despite the hiccup, the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller, when functioning correctly, offers an exceptional gaming experience. Just be aware of the potential control drift issue and ensure you're covered by warranty in case you encounter it.
