I bought the Elite because I was sick of bumpers/sticks etc. breaking on my standard Xbox controller. And for a while, these controllers performed well. They feel great, the weight is good, and the accessories/customization options are a plus. But the bumpers still don't last. Look, I'm not throwing my controller around, dropping it, or button mashing. But somehow, miraculously, Microsoft made the bumpers on the Elite controller just as poorly as the original controllers; they get mushy/break with regular, long-term use. Overall, it's a good controller. Just pay up and get the Best Buy warranty, because you'll probably need it.

Initially I was pained at the thought of buying a controller for this price. However, once I opened the box it became apparent to me just why the price was high; this controller is bulletproof. Amazing quality of materials, very very comfortable, incredibly customizable. This controller will last you years and years easily. Only downside is that it is not currently compatible with iPad. I stream my PC to my iPad for gaming, and was disappointed as a result. Amazing controller though!

Battery life is great! And the most comfortable controller I own. Love that you can change the sensitivity on the sticks and triggers. Haven’t had any drift issues in the year and many hours I’ve been using it.

I've been skeptical over the years in paying the hefty price for an elite controller, but finally jumped the gun when they announced the series 2... and I'm glad i did. This controller has great ergonomics and grip texture, along with a plethora of features and settings, including hair trigger settings, multiple sticks, mapping, 4 quadrant vibrating settings, e.t.c. well worth it if you are a competitive gamer. No problems with drifting so far. Love that you can adjust the tension of the sticks as well.. overall, a great product from Microsoft!

If you need a top of the like controller this MIGHT be it. Its good sturdy, long battery, and feels good but it can tend to get stick drift not in the normal way but that the sticks work so well that the slightest touch and youll keep drifting when having your finger rest on it

Elite series 2 controller is the best out there hands down.

Controller came with a variety of custom tools to change the sensitivity of buttons and analog sticks. There is a learning curve so you might want to try using the controller in different forms before setting into one kind of setting. Beware bc this product does tend to lemon out the most even though its a premium controller.

I really like this controller because they fell nice in your hand but the quality is questionable. I bought an open box and everything worked great except for one button that you needed to press hard to register anything. Make sure you test all the buttons if you buy this. Button can be remapped to their rear buttons if you want to do that.

I have been using the original elite controller for years. However, like all video game controllers, it has lost its responsiveness. I was so excited to see that Microsoft was bringing out a new model and preordered it immediately. The new version has great grip and even has grip on the triggers. Also, the new version has three trigger lengths instead of only two that were on the original. My only complaint is that the controller only comes with one tall stick. If you want both sticks to be tall, you can purchase the Kontrol Freak stick extenders.

- Great customization for a personalized easier experience - Very durable inputs but edges of rubber tend to unglue. - Thumb stick grooves go away slowly - Glues for grips way better the Elite 1 (I Play a lot)
