All of the materials feel incredible, to the point where I'm pretty sure I could use this thing as a form of self-defense if it came down to it. Underneath the sturdy exterior though is an entire dysfunctional restaurant's worth of problems. For me it started with intermittent disconnecting, and ended with the controller literally shutting itself off if I pushed the right thumbstick in too hard. I'm sending it back to Microsoft under warranty, which is a hassle. If you're going to buy this, buy Best Buy's coverage for it so you can do a walk-in replacement when yours inevitably develops one of the myriad of issues you can read about if you research this controller online.
