Great replacement
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this to replace my 2 year old elite series 2 which was starting to feel worn out. I just took the old paddles and put them on the new one. The black and white storm trooper look is nice.

Simply the best!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hands down the best!! Out of all the controllers I’ve used the elite series 2 beats them all! Vastly improved from the series 1. Heavy feel in your hand, superior battery life, fully rubberized, interchangeable control sticks which the tension can also be adjusted, trigger tension can also be adjusted. 4 additional triggers can be added although I don’t use them because the way I grip the controller I accidentally press them sometimes, so you can conveniently remove them or only use the ones you want. Multiple users can be saved to the controller for different configurations as well. Highly recommend paying for the geek squad protection plan, as it is a replacement plan. So if ANYTHING at all ever goes wrong with it they will replace it with a brand new one. My sticks started drifting so I brought it in and they replaced it with no questions asked, they were out of stock so they just shipped it to my home and had it in 2 days.

Buy this, now!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Words can't express the quality of this controller. It blows any of the other wireless controllers away with its solid construction. It has metal buttons, interchangeable joysticks and D-pad. You can fully remap the controls plus you get the 4 extra trigger buttons to use if wanted which is sweet. The internal battery is a beast! I charge my controller maybe once a week now versus every day. It really lasts 50 hours+. The grips on the controller work great, plus it's the same size as the standard controllers so it feels right in your hands. Last but not least it comes with a well built, rugid carrying case that can charge the controller while it's inside. This controller is a must have for any passionate gamer! You will not be disappointed!

A bit of an upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Get the edge over the competition. My only gasp is that it doesn’t come with the alternative buttons for below, their competitors did.

Almost Perfect
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly one of the best controllers you can get! This is my third one and I learned the hard way to get a protection plan on these contollers. The same issue has happened in the past with serious stick drift and bumper issues (not registering/double registering) developing. If you’re buying through best buy consider the geek squad coverage but also definitely look into getting it with microsoft complete from the microsoft store!

Great Buy!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For being an open box buy, this controller works fantastic! Paddles on the back are fantastic for the extra control slots I use for multiple games. Snag one if you can!

Buy it.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its an expensive controller... I get it.... but if you're reading this, buy it. Especially if its on sale. The grips feel amazing in your hands. Adjustable triggers are awesome. The battery last for hours. The construction is high quality. You can remove the paddles if you don't like them. It works on your PC and your Xbox. When you're done playing, put it back in the case (the charger is in the case).

Almost a must have
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the best controllers out there, period. Great customization for buttons and sticks. Nice weight and works on almost anything. And remember that your settings are saved on the controller so they travel with you. Downside is that this can only be programmed on a PC or Xbox (as far as I know). The one thing that is bad is that I've had two of these and within 2 years the RB button stopped working on both(this is a known issue) so get a warranty. If Microsoft could fix this it would be perfect (for most)

Get the Best Buy warranty!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start out saying I play Xbox at least 3 hours a day. I am 48 years old and have played on pretty much every system over that timeframe. This controller is the best one I have ever used. However, it isn't perfect. The first one I got right after they came out had an issue where one of the triggers sticking a few months later. I swapped it out using the Geek Squad warranty for a new one. Purchased another warranty, and this one started having movement continue after releasing the right stick, after about a year of constant use. Makes it challenging to play certain games, so I will be swapping it out again and getting another. Buy the Geek Squad coverage. Totally worth it!

Shame *ding-ding... SHAME
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sick of it. Firstly, the stick tension is uneven. There is always one side that has more slack than the other, and there's a slight deadspace that is taken that you can feel it gently dragging before engaging the track pad. Secondly, the button registration. This was my 3rd try at the elite 2 since it came out and I'm done. The A button in particular (sometimes others as well) WILL NOT register soft presses that aren't directly over the button. They have curved buttons, it doesn't work out well. You have to Mash the buttons if you want consistency. If you play for hours at a time this starts to hurt your thumb joints. The buttons also have varying tension as well. The one I got had a stiff X button while the others weren't. Does that sound premium to you? Just stick with the regular controller. It's very reliable and was well tested before manufacturing, these not so much. They need to figure it out

Great quality product, could include more.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price it's the quality you expect. I've had the elite series 2 controller for years and wanted a second one for my other Xbox. It was an easy choice to grab this one without the need for the complete bundle. My only complaint is that i feel it should include at least one pair of tabs for the back to give you a bit more customization. Understandably it is the "core" version, but if I'm buying the controller for this much, which has the same functionality of a standard controller out of box, i do feel it should include just those two extra items.
