Fragile
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product has so many problems. I purchased this controller a couple months ago and the grips are already swelling, ive had to replace it, and the internals constantly bug out, making the controller unusable until I take it apart and repair it. DO NOT BUY, the regular controllers are a much better way to go.

Good but not great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this controller. It is comfortable and ergonomic in hand, feels like it has a high build quality, looks nice and has nice customization. The paddles on the back really improved my FPS play. The battery life is also fantastic. However, the build quality, although feels great, is just not great. The buttons, specifically trigger and bumpers start to fail rather quickly and the stick drift right out of the box. If it were not for this, I would give this controller 5/5 stars. But because of this, I am purchased another controller and I am going to try that out and maybe jump ship. This controller introduced me to the world of back button paddles, so I am grateful for that, but in the end, I do not game enough for this controller to be failing me, so I am on to something else. If you are handy and own the proper tools, you can replace the switches for fairly cheap, which may make this controller more enticing at its price, but most people are not going to attempt that.

A Game Changer for Sore Hands
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a gamer who suffers from sore hands, I've been on the lookout for a controller that could help alleviate my discomfort while still providing the high level of performance I need for my favorite games, Fortnite and Call of Duty. Enter the Microsoft Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller. I purchased this controller from Best Buy, and I must say that it's been a game-changer. Here's a detailed review of my experience with this controller, covering everything from unboxing to gameplay. Unboxing: The Microsoft Elite Series 2 controller comes in a sleek, premium black box, with a clear image of the controller on the front. Upon opening the box, I was greeted with a high-quality carrying case, which houses the controller and its various accessories. The case is a nice touch, making it easy to transport the controller and keep everything organized. Inside the case, I found the controller itself, a USB-C charging cable, a charging dock, and a variety of interchangeable thumbsticks, D-pads, and paddle attachments. The range of customization options was immediately impressive, and I couldn't wait to try them out. Pros: Customizable Design: One of the standout features of the Elite Series 2 controller is its customizable design. The interchangeable thumbsticks, D-pads, and paddles allowed me to create a personalized controller setup that significantly reduced my hand strain during gameplay. The adjustable-tension thumbsticks are particularly helpful, enabling me to fine-tune the resistance for improved control. Build Quality: The controller feels sturdy and well-built, with a nice weight to it. The rubberized grips provide a comfortable, non-slip surface that makes it easy to maintain a firm grasp during intense gaming sessions. Wireless Performance: The wireless connectivity is excellent, with virtually no input lag. This is essential for fast-paced games like Fortnite and Call of Duty, where split-second decisions can mean the difference between victory and defeat. Battery Life: The controller's battery life is outstanding, lasting up to 40 hours on a single charge. The included charging dock makes it easy to keep the controller charged and ready for action. Cons: Price: The main downside of the Elite Series 2 controller is its relatively high price point. However, considering the quality, performance, and customization options, I believe it's a worthwhile investment for gamers who struggle with hand discomfort. Learning Curve: The level of customization may be overwhelming for some users, and it took me a bit of time to find the perfect setup for my preferences. However, once I did, it was well worth the effort. Gameplay: Using the Elite Series 2 controller has significantly improved my gameplay experience in Fortnite and Call of Duty. The customizable design has not only helped to alleviate my hand soreness, but has also improved my overall performance. The hair-trigger locks, for instance, have enabled quicker response times, and the rear paddles have allowed me to execute more complex moves with ease. Conclusion: Overall, the Microsoft Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller has been a fantastic purchase. The high-quality build, customizable design, and exceptional performance have not only made gaming more comfortable for my sore hands, but have also taken my gameplay to new heights. Despite the relatively high price, I believe the controller is a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to improve their gaming experience and alleviate hand discomfort.

Expensive but good
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Elite Series 2 Xbox controller is exactly what it says it is: elite. The full package comes with a case that has charging capabilities built into it, storage for the paddles that can go on the bottom of the controller, and storage for the optional sticks. The controller is fully customizable using the Xbox app, and gives you the ability to configure multiple profiles. You can switch between the profiles directly on the controller giving you the option to quickly change layouts when testing things out or switching to other games. The controller works well with Windows 11, which is one of the reason I got it. The overall weight and premium feel of the controller are both really nice. I still think the A-B-X-Y buttons feel kinda sticky and cheap like they do on the base controller. Rechargeable batteries are integrated with the controller. The paddles for the underside of the controller and different stick options allow you to customize the feel and functionality of the controller. The controller is pretty expensive, but also on par with other premium controllers available. I’d you want a premium experience, integrated rechargeable batteries, customizable gaming experience, and don’t mind shelling out almost $200 (after tax), then go for it. Otherwise, you could simply get the Elite 2 Core Controller for around $120 and add the case and extra parts in the future if you are wanting them.

Will break on you
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had the controller for 18 months and now the left joystick is completely broken. Had to switch back to my original Xbox controller that’s been working for 10 years. Never should have bought this. Controller is ergonomically perfect and the build quality FEELS great, but I should have listened to all the reviews saying that it WILL break down after 1 year.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You can tell this would be a good controller if it didnt have so many hardware issues unfortunately im returning mine. Stick drift and laggy
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Horrible design it’s bulky and the buttons slide right off your fingers. I made plenty of mistakes with this controller and honestly, I’ll be better with the normal one. I recommend to not buy. It needs a lot of help… also with the little pieces, the joysticks in the box came horrible. Save your money. It made me so

Waste of money, buy off brand products instead
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't purchase Microsoft items anymore. Never worth the money. I spend $190 only for it to start falling apart after 2 years. The rubber is coming off and it already expanded so I cannot re-glue it back on which I should not have to do for an item this expensive anyway.

Damaged on arrival.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought an open box version on the controller. Website said in excellent condition. Lol. Probably should have actually looked at the controller before they gave it that rating. Side of it was damaged where it appears someone tried to open the controller. It doesn't charge either. Waste of my time.

Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to play certain games on my PC, because all of the generic Xbox controllers I purchased usually break very easily (the spring-return breaks in the a-b-x-y buttons, or drift on the sticks etc) so why not buy a $200 controller? First thing I noticed was the controller weight, it's got some heft. Feels great in your hands especially with the rubberish grip material, I like the customization options and additional buttons, cross and joysticks. You can remove the paddles on the back or disable them with the middle button between the pause and option buttons. You can go wired (with included braided USB-C cable) or wireless via bluetooth. I dont like enabling bluetooth on my motherboard so i bought the official Xbox Wireless USB adapter, which works perfectly with Win 10 and this controller. The sticks can be swapped out for longer, or fatter ones (included) and you can swap out the disc for the traditional up-down-left-right cross (also included). The stick tension can be adjusted tighter or looser to your liking. I have owned this for one month (to the day) and have used it heavily playing mostly RDR2 PC (i game most of my free time) and so far it's held up very well. I've used it wired (no problems) and wireless (via USB adapter) with only a few dropped connections (the game pauses and says press any key to continue) no idea if it's radio (noise) interference or freak accidents with the USB adapter, but if you press the Xbox logo button it should reconnect in a few seconds with no issues. I charge fairly often after using wireless, and game multiple consecutive hours and so far the battery has not died on me during play. The only issue I have with this is the price. Again, it's a $200 (a little under $200) but I got the insurance because of the heavy gaming I do, and again, i paid almost $200 for this so... But it's a sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet controller hands down.
