Love the customization. Only downside I have is sometimes the left thumb stick won’t click in fully when held forward for games like COD or a game that requires left thumb stick input for sprinting. Battery life is phenomenal, love the charging case. Overall, great controller to have.

Really enjoyed this controller. Love that you can change the sensitivity and do multiple profiles. Even though it’s been out for a while it’s definitely worth it if you game often. Is heavier that the standard controller which I personally really like. Feels comfortable in my hands even when gaming for long periods of time. Also worth it that it comes with a hard cover case that can charge. Along with the standing charger. It’s heavier but love that it’s sturdy fits perfectly on a desk. Honestly for what you pay for you are getting a lot.

    Mostly an Upgrade

I had the first Elite controller before this, and it's a definite 95% upgrade. This controller is great quality, substantial and weighty in a satisfying way, and the customization options work wonders. The main downside is in the comparison to the original model. For whatever reason, Microsoft has decided you only need one long thumbstick and one domed thumbstick — which makes no sense, because there are two thumbsticks on this controller. You have two standard, two "classic" (which are basically identical to the standard), then one long and one domed. I loved the two long thumbsticks on my old Elite controller because they allow for more precise movements and cramp my hands far less... but these thumbsticks are incompatible with the original Elite controller, which can only be a financial decision for Microsoft. That doesn't make sense either, though, because they don't sell additional thumbsticks. I suppose I need to find a friend with one of these who doesn't use the long thumbsticks and trade their long one for my domed one... and that's ridiculous. Additionally, there are reviews online that state some of the A/B/X/Y buttons don't always work. I have this issue too, where my button presses randomly don't work. The buttons are also spongy. This is inexcusable at this price point, from a first-party company... but because of the paddles, I rarely use the buttons anyway so it doesn't break the deal for me. Mapping those buttons to the paddles greatly enhances gameplay (you can leave your right thumb on the thumbstick and still use A/B/X/Y, even multiple simultaneously, and that's a HUGE perk!) so I definitely recommend that. You can remap A/B/X/Y if you want, also, to other functions. Don't neglect the controller configuration app on the Xbox One or Series X|S. That's where you truly maximize this controller, to set up custom travel distances on thumbsticks and triggers and remap controls. You can have three separate profiles on the controller, as well as a default which unfortunately isn't editable. I have mine set up with default, FPS, racing, and RPG settings to maximize experience in different game types I play — this controller is most useful, in my experience, in FPS and racing games. Online FPS games will see substantial benefits for you if you use this controller well, and racing games (I play Forza Motorsport/Horizon games) are much better with this controller set up with paddles and configured travel distances. Honestly, using this controller for online FPS and racing games feels like borderline cheating sometimes. You can jump or crouch while you turn/move/fire, ALL AT ONCE, in an FPS game. In a racing game, you can customize your gas and brake pedals as well as steering. Seriously, this is huge for both genres.

Nice weight to it. Excellent battery life. Hot-swappable sticks and paddles allow extensive customization. Adjustable triggers, adjustable torque on the sticks. Swappable D-pad. Paddle switches are metal, as well as the D-pads. Texturized rubber grips help reduce slipping, though it does not eliminate it completely. Charges on a USB-C type cable, so it won't work with other xbox controller charging cables. Nice case with it as well, and includes a pass-thru for the charging cable and a charging stand.

I purchased the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller from Best Buy and have been very impressed with the quality and performance. The controller feels solid and premium, with customizable paddles, adjustable tension thumbsticks, and great battery life. It’s extremely comfortable to use and noticeably improves gameplay, especially for competitive games. The purchase process at Best Buy was smooth, and the controller arrived in perfect condition. Overall, this is an excellent upgrade for any Xbox or PC gamer, and I highly recommend both the controller and buying it from Best Buy.

If your looking for input customization for different games and more anaolog options for your thumbs this is the controller for you. I have had my old one for about 4 years and I wouldnt replace it with any other type. I was happy to see they had a cheaper option because all the old parts from my other one still can be used on this one. Also has a lot of weight to it and can take an impact if dropped.

Amazing controller! Although it kind of has to be with the price. Everything about the controller is worth it. The controller feels premium through and through, from the grip to the buttons and triggers. It's very customizable with the button mapping and the hardware. Easily the most comfortable controller. The only issue is that the weight might take some getting used to. I've also heard that some users experienced sticky buttons but haven't come across any problems! Worth the money if you can spend it.

Materials and textures feel great. The added weight is a plus in my opinion. Trigger travel settings is nice as well as the internal rechargeable battery that should have been in the regular controller to begin with. Ability to save several user profiles is fantastic. Only issue is price. On holiday discount at $135 it's doable. At retail of around $200 is way too much.

I'm gonna preface by saying this is my 3rd Elite V2 controller. However, despite the fact that I've went through 3 of them so far, there's a reason I still purchase the same controller. First off, it feels very premium and has a nice weight to it. The ability to customize it with different control sticks and dpads is awesome, and I love the customizable right and left shoulder buttons - it's great for FPS games. In addition to the customizable sticks and dpad, there's also the Microsoft Accessory app that works on both Xbox and PC. It offers even more ways to customize and lets you remap pretty much any button (including the 4 paddles on the back) and change the color of the Xbox logo. The controller also comes with a premium case and charging cable, as well as different control sticks and a different dpad. You can also charge it while it's in its case. The controller is rechargeable and the battery life is more than reasonable in my opinion. Again, I have went through 3 of these controllers. One of the grips began peeling on my first one, and then my second one had issues with the left bumper not working. I'm on my third one now and so far I haven't ran into any issues, though I have been trying to take good care of it to avoid anything else from happening. With all that said, I would still recommend this controller for any gaming enthusiast or someone who just wants a more premium controller. I have tried many controllers and this one just seems to be the best, despite it not lasting me as long as I'd like. I hope there's a V3 coming soon because I will buy it immediately when it comes out.

This is one of the best premium controllers you can get. It has a premium feel and weight to it. The thumbsticks being fully customizable is very useful and the paddles on the back are game changing. The only issue I have is that sometimes there is stick drift but it's not bad and you can adjust dead zone settings to help with that.

Overall just a fantastic controller. Great build quality, has some nice weight to it, and the accessory app allows for really awesome customization. I tell people not to expect the controller to be perfect; it's still suceptible to stick drift and buttons breaking over time. These minor issues are really only ever gonna happen if you're hard on the controller like I am, and the protection plan covers any conceivable issues.

This controller is dope. Easy to customize and can get same tuning than scuff controllers. Its great for PC and first person shooters with the back paddles. Really easy to remap and customize as desired. Long battery life and grip feels nice. Comfortable to use for long periods of gaming sessions. No need for Kontrol Freak thumsticks.

Hands down the best controller you can get that is also an official license product. Very comfortable and easy to customize even though it receives bad reviews due to stick drift and some button problems at least now Microsoft is giving the elite series 2 a 1 year warranty. Everything works perfect as of now even though I only had it a few weeks but been using it daily with no problems I will update after 6 months or more to see how it holds up

This has been my favorite controller to use ever. It’s such a game changer being able to swap thumb sticks. The controller itself has cool features like paddles and the metal feels nice to touch as well as the rubber grips sitting nicely in my hands. It feels reassuring to also have a case with my controller that also has compartments to hold my separate parts. I’ve had the controller for ~2 years and the only problem that has occurred is a tiny piece of the rubber is peeling off next to the right bumper but that could easily be glued back if I cared to do so. I would say the price point is definitely too high. In the end it’s just a controller after all
