Xbox Elite Series 2 - Open Box Scam

Upon opening the box, the first thing I noticed was how filthy the controller was. There was dirt and skin particles on the triggers and in the grooves of the controller. This controller had been well used prior to being resold by Best Buy. Not only was it disgusting, but the right bumper was broken. I took it back to the counter and asked for another open box they had. Upon opening the box, the same story. A dirty controller, but this time the left trigger was broken. I again returned the item, and was told by the store clerk: “Yeah, don’t ever buy open box items from Best Buy, especially controllers. There’s a reason they were returned”. So, Best Buy is knowingly reselling broken items. Buyer beware.

Out of the box, the sticks were loose

But I had to return mine because both sticks would not stay up perfectly straight - there was always some input being sent no-matter-what way they were leaning. I'm sure I would love one that is made correctly!

The look of the device looked well used and the right bumper was not responsive to anything other than a hard press. Had to return it to being unusable.
