Great controller! Unfortunately the newer version came out so my nephew exchanged it for a newer version!

    The Gold Standard

This remains the gold standard for first party controllers. It's pricy, there's no denying that, and while it is very good, it isn't going to turn you into a "MLG pro" gamer if you aren't one already. It is a refinement of the already very good Elite series 1 controller, and it fixes a lot of the niggles that came with that controller. I owned the original Elite controller, and while I didn't experience any of the mechanical failures that plagued the original model, many of the people I know who owned one did, and my rubber grips did eventually give up the ghost despite my taking very good care of the controller. Other improvements include the addition of a built-in chargeable battery and a charging mat inside the included case, the inclusion of Bluetooth for mobile and PC gaming (though you'll get best results pairing it with an Xbox wireless receiver for PC), a pleasing texture on the grips that wrap around more of the controller, and an additional customizable profile for swapping between controller configurations on the fly. It's not quite perfect yet, though. I'd have preferred the inclusion of a Play and Charge kit instead of the non-user-removable rechargable battery we got. The joysticks, while delightfully grippy, tend to also grip onto dirt and dust no matter how hard you try to keep it clean, so in short order, the sticks will look a bit grimy. Nothing I've found so far has managed to get them clean again. It lacks the new feature of the Series S/X controllers that allows it to swap between console and Bluetooth, so if you want to switch between using it for the Xbox and connecting it to your mobile phone, you'll have to manually re-pair it with your console. Physically, it feels a little smaller and noticeably lighter than the original, which, at least for me, was a lot of the appeal of the first model. These are all minor quibbles, and they don't detract from the overall package, but if you're spending 2/3 the price of a new console, it'd be nice to have to negatives whatsoever. On the whole, then, it's still the best controller I've ever owned. Can you live without it? Absolutely. But once you've used one, and gotten used to the features and the little extras, it is very hard to go back to the standard Xbox controller. I do not regret buying one for even a second.

Absolutely love the upgrades that this controller has verses the older series 1 elite controller. The battery life is amazing, and it seems to have great durability. The only issue is that the corners of the rubber grips start to peel slightly after 2-3 months of heavy use.

Works great. Less expensive option if your series 2 breaks and you still have the extras.

Great Product, only problem is very, very minor stickdrift. You will have to add a very small deadzone. This might just be my product but other than that its a good controller. Variable trigger travel is good for a lot of games. The adjustable stick tension is good for precision games too. There could also be more options for Joysticks but the ones included work fine, like if they made it so that you could buy more options it would be great. The controller is also sleek and stealthy enough for my taste.

The controller is great when it works. A lot of people eventually have problems and need to warranty it. I've gone through 4 or 5. Stick drift, stuck buttons, unresponsive bumpers. Still would buy it again, built in battery and the overall experience is unmatched compared to the regular controller.

Just too dang inconsistent with the quality. This is my second Elite controller and it has stick drift within a few months of moderate use and the A button was spotty out of the box. I should have returned it and just gotten a regular controller because I don’t even use the paddle/bumper whatever you call them. I only liked the rubber grips and interchangeable sticks.

Now when i first saw the price i was shocked and almost turned away. But then i saw that there is NO battery pack and its just rechargeable. For this reason alone i bought it. I was pleasantly surprised however, the quality and feel of the controller is probably the best xbox even PlayStation controller i felt. It doesnt have the haptic feedback/adaptive triggers of the ps5’s controller, but as far as the xbox goes, if you have the money or this is on sale, id highly recommend it.

This is a great feeling controller. The functionality on the controller itself and also what you can do in the Xbox accessories app is nice. But if you play a lot, especially games like Fortnite that are demanding on the bumpers, they will fail in about 8 months. I've ran through 3 of these in about 16 months. ALWAYS get Geek Squad protection on these.

Amazing Controller – Great Feel and Performance! The Elite Series 2 Core (White) is absolutely worth it! The build quality feels premium, the buttons and thumbsticks are super responsive, and the adjustable tension is a game-changer for shooters and racing games. The wireless connection is solid, battery life is strong, and the clean white design looks fantastic. If you're looking to upgrade your Xbox or PC gaming experience, I highly recommend this controller!

This is a very good controller. It took my gaming to a new level. It has a switch on the underside that shortens or lengthens the pull of the triggers. A really great feature. You also have the option to change thumbsticks that come with varying lengths and shapes. And it’s done magnetically. It also has 4 paddles underneath the controller that can be mapped for different functions...I found this too advanced for me. And perhaps the best feature feature is the way it feels in your hands, it’s much more comfortable than the one that comes with the Xbox.

Great grip and just has an overall nice feel to it. Doesn’t take batteries and comes with a charger and charging dock along with case and multiple options for analog sticks and dpad. Paddles on the back do take some getting used to and I started with only 2 but after some play time with them there’s no way you could go back to a regular controller which in a way is good and bad. If you’re looking for a way to help improve your game and have one of the hottest controllers on the market this if for you.
