Dislike that the bumpers are always the first to go, the grips come off pretty easily, and the stick drift happens way too early in its life. Overall still like the remote, just wish it was produced better similar to the Xbox 360 remotes.

I know this is expensive, but you sure get what you pay for. Every facet of this controller announces quality, from the heavy feel, to the long battery life, to the charging cable and dock. It’s all in the details, and I can’t go back to a standard Xbox controller. I also now can’t go without the rear triggers which means I don’t need to click the sticks. I can’t wait to pair this with my Series X in November. I’m a both PS and Xbox gamer and find I play most multi-platform games on the Xbox because of this controller.

I absolutely love this controller you cant beat it! I got one around 3 years ago and after about a year and half it got really bad stick drift whis is insanely annoying especially since its $180, you would think it wouldnt break but i guess not. Nonetheles, this is my second controller of it that im buying. Although this time i bought the warranty for it

The best controller by far. I wont ever use another controller. The lifespan of one of these is about 3 years so if you feel thats worth it just keep it in mind. I am a heavy user and the onyl thing that went wrong on mine was a single back paddle was only responding 80% of the time

Breaks a lot but good other tan that works perfect but put warranty cause you gonna be changing it every 6 months

We got our first one towards the end of last year to replace a failing Elite 1 controller. Unfortunately, the controller we got had the oft reported button problems. Upon return, it took almost a week to get the replacement. This one did work correctly. From a gameplay perspective, though, it is an excellent controller. Its programability is good. The paddles are a huge improvement over the original Elite. It feels better in the hand, as well. One big plus is that the hand grips are still solidly attached after almost a quarter of a year. On both prior Elites, they had started to peel off by this time. That is a great step forward. This is the best of the wireless controllers available. If you get it, though, I would STRONGLY recommend getting the Geek Squad extended warranty. For most purchases I would never get it. For the Elite controller, I promise you, you will need it eventually. At the very least, you will want to trade it in for a new one before the warranty expires. Then spend the few bucks for a warranty on the replacement. Just be warned, the price for that warranty has gone up a bit. That tells you something about the quality issues. Nevertheless, once you do get a good controller you will be quite happy with it. If you can use a wired controller, you might want to look at the Razer. If you need wireless, this is probably the best option. (I personally am not that fond of Scuff.)

I use this as my travel controller as i have the full Elite kit for home. It works great and the color contrast is nice. Solid purchase!

No matter how much I tweaked the thumbstick tension and spent time "breaking in the sticks" or adjusting thumbstick curves in settings, it just never gave me the level of responsiveness that some stock controllers do (Dualshock 4, Dual Sense, Gamesir G7, Wolverine v3 TE, 8bitDo Ultimate 2). AND those controllers are a fraction of the price. It's unfortunate because the feel of this controller is above and beyond all others. It has a nice weight and overall feel in the hands. The back paddles are also excellent. It's just a shame that the actual responsiveness does not match.

Overall a good controller with back paddles. It is a plus if you are looking for added weight in comparison to the standard controller. The back paddles need some time to get used to. The most important feature to me is that the sticker click can be disabled.

My 10yr old son what was the remote don’t think he’ll ever go back to the regular remote after having this one. He likes that you can change the joystick pieces to his comfort and the paddles on the bottom of the remote great. The battery last a long time I am usually charge it for him after three days of use I don’t think it’s ever been dead since he got it and when he plays on for a long time, so it’s definitely quality remote anybody who’s looking for a good remote definitely get this one.

First time having a pro controller for my PS5 and I’d definitely recommend if you don’t already have one. This controller is awesome and a bad mother f’er. Awesome grips for long periods of playing time on the PS5 and etc.

Solid controller.. everything felt high quality and a lot of ways to customize.. the only reason i returned it is because i want to try a controller with paddles beside each other versus on top of each other...

Initially I was pained at the thought of buying a controller for this price. However, once I opened the box it became apparent to me just why the price was high; this controller is bulletproof. Amazing quality of materials, very very comfortable, incredibly customizable. This controller will last you years and years easily. Only downside is that it is not currently compatible with iPad. I stream my PC to my iPad for gaming, and was disappointed as a result. Amazing controller though!

The Elite Series 2 is a great controller until it inevitably breaks down on you in some way shape or form. Stick drift is guaranteed within 6 months. Bumpers are prone to fail. ABXY buttons can be hit or miss when it comes to missed inputs. And if you hit the Yahtzee in bad luck, you might even have an issue down the road with the rubber grips losing adhesion. I have never thrown one of these controllers, I've never mishandled them or have been rough with them in any way and over the years and I've gone through four of The Elite Series 2 and four of the original Elite controllers as well. Microsoft has a quality control problem when it comes to these controllers. You're better off getting a Scuff controller.

I've been skeptical over the years in paying the hefty price for an elite controller, but finally jumped the gun when they announced the series 2... and I'm glad i did. This controller has great ergonomics and grip texture, along with a plethora of features and settings, including hair trigger settings, multiple sticks, mapping, 4 quadrant vibrating settings, e.t.c. well worth it if you are a competitive gamer. No problems with drifting so far. Love that you can adjust the tension of the sticks as well.. overall, a great product from Microsoft!

The Elite Series 2 Core Wireless Controller feels like a premium upgrade in every way. The build quality is solid, the grip is comfortable for long gaming sessions, and the adjustable tension sticks give great precision. The triggers are smooth, and the response time is excellent. I also love how easy it is to customize with the Xbox Accessories app. It’s a great choice if you want pro-level performance without the full price of the complete Elite bundle.
