Great experience but doesn't last
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The greatest controller i've ever used, but it's not very durable. I've replaced it twice now, first because the right bumper failed, then because the grip started to become unglued after many hours of use and changed the shape of the controller. If you're going to buy this get the protection and replace it when, not if, it fails.

Nice weight and button feel
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely a great controller. Nice weight and the buttons feels more premium than the non elites. Only downside is the price. This is worth the investment if you game a lot on pc or Xbox. The buttons on the back are programmable but only with the inputs that are already on the controller. I could not find a way to map it with a macro or a specific key.

Cheaply made
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cheaply made. Stick drift and bumpers always fail with very little use. Will never buy an elite again.

Top quality
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn't expect much difference from the Xbox One controller I've been using for my PC setup, but going through so many AA batteries made me consider this one. Not only is it rechargable, but the 4 buttons on the bottom are life changing for gaming. If I had this when I was playing Elden Ring, it would have made a WORLD of difference. Not having to take your thumbs off of the movement and camera sticks is incredibly useful. TLDR : GET IT!

Here for a great time not a long time!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice weight, very sturdy and comfortable to use. The only bad side is that these controllers unfortunately do not last! They are great controllers, but must be replaced about every year or so... I've decided it's worth to buy & replace because I actually really like this controller over any other basic wireless ones on the market.

Best controller
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Elite controller is the best there is. Make sure to get the warranty if a heavy handed or avid gamer. Will drift after a year, when original manufacturer warranty expires. Buttons might break. It's a controller, a $200 one. Get a warranty.

Expensive but awesome controller
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First things first this is an expensive controller and there a lot of other things to spend money on. But if you have the funds or are looking for a gift for an Xbox gamer, this is an awesome controller package. Everything has been built from the ground up to be the best (within reason) way to play on Xbox. The interchangeable parts, the quick settings for how different parts like the d pad react to your input is really well thought out, the nice bonus here is the really nice case it comes in, the usb c charging capability and the charging dock that can either be in the case or outside the case.

Was great, but not built for longevity
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased mine shortly after it released, though it wasn't delivered until November of 2019. I'm mostly a PC gamer, but I need a controller for occasional games that don't require M+KB. This seemed like a very robust and long lasting option compared to regular xbox controllers at the time. In short, the features are great, and it worked very well for about a year, but then it started having issues with the bumpers not registering a press every time. Now it takes many presses to get the bumpers to register a keypress. The joysticks also have a tendency to bounce too far to the opposite direction when I release them, causing me to snap the opposite direction I was intending to face. I called Microsoft to ask about repair, and they were very nice, but also explained I was out of warranty and repair would cost $100 plus shipping. A new one is only $165, so that repair cost feels a little steep. It seems like such a waste to throw it away after not even two years, but it's no longer reliable for gaming. I was certainly hoping it would be easier and cheaper to repair. The controller has great features and feels better to hold for long gaming sessions, but I'm a little disappointed with the longevity of the device.

Good Quality Controller
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good quality. Feels nice in your hands. I like being able to adjust the joystick sensitivity. My one complaint is it did not come with the back paddles and adjustable joysticks, but third party options were relatively cheap, but with the high cost of the controller I feel like it should come with.

Great product

A worthy Successor to The Original Hit!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a semi-casual gamer with a taste for the finer things, when the original Elite controllers dropped I purchased a pair to use daily. While the value provided was exceptional, there were a myriad of growing pains to address as Microsoft went premium. After nearly 5 years of use, and several warranty events, it was time to let them go. I'm glad to say, Microsoft's followup appears to have addressed long-term concerns surrounding the joysticks and grips breaking down. Now if only they hadn't sealed the battery inside!

You'll want to add an extended warranty with this!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great controller, love the customizability, but I've gone through several already with either stick drift developing, or, more recently, the left stick broke and would not return to center. Definitely way better than the stock Xbox controller, but hate the downtime of having to return to Microsoft to get fixed. I never purchased extended warranties, but DID end up buying the Best Buy one for this controller because they seem pretty prone to failure.

was a great fan of this but still has problems
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.got plenty of use of mine and enjoyed it greatly but like the series 1 before it the price increase does not come with durability increases. will the grip issue of the series 1 seems to be 99% fixed i was/ am seeing minor expansion after this year that could become problematic if other parts like the bumpers and sticks retained their life better. *when i mention durability ive never once thrown or otherwise put nonstandard ware and tear abuse on the controller but it seems that since even the 360 era microsofts controllers just aren't made to last daily use of 5+ hours for a full year
