Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the Elite Series 2 Core Wireless Controller's high-quality build, excellent battery life, and comfortable grip. Many appreciate the customization options and the controller's overall feel and weight. However, customers are negative about the prevalence of stick drift issues reported by some users, as well as concerns about the durability of certain buttons and bumpers. The positive feedback on features like customization and feel is frequently offset by negative experiences with controller longevity.

    Elite series 2

Elite 2 at it's finest no matter what. I know there other pro controllers out in the market and they offer similar or customization than the elite 2 but I always default to the elite 2 because it feels perfect to control in my hands. What I wanted from a standard Xbox series controller the elite 2 is the perfect and only upgrade I need. I do wish though Microsoft/Xbox would retool/ refine their product durability testing because even though I love my elite 2 I've gotten through 2 pairs already and both stopped working because of stick drift and the bumper pads began to suddenly peel off and that's coming from someone who doesn't sweat a lot when gaming. Hopefully elite series 3 will be third time's a charm ( for real)

Good controller but the bumpers give out

It is great however the bumpers eventually give out and stop working. I am not a rager and I never throw or bang my controllers. However, my bumpers still have given out where it doesn’t function properly to where I had to use the paddles instead for it. The paddles do not come with the controller so I ordered an extra set from Amazon.

This is my go to controller. When you pick it up, you immediately feel the quality. I love the customization feature options with the back paddles (sold separately) as well as the trigger response options. The built in battery life last a long time with a single full charge.

Best controller I ever had ... I meant that , I never wanted to spend the amount of money for a top of the line elite series 2 but this fit my exact need and played better than anything ever before . I hit the perfect sweet spot . Not to mention , Best Buy had a sale at the time , so it was a beautiful experience, top to bottom .

The Elite Series 2 Core is a fantastic middle ground for serious gamers who want high-end performance without the full cost of the original Elite. The build quality is excellent—solid, comfortable, and responsive. The textured grips and adjustable tension thumbsticks make a noticeable difference in precision, especially in competitive shooters and racing games. It’s fully compatible with Xbox Series XS, Xbox One, PC, and cloud gaming setups. While it doesn’t include the paddles or extra accessories out of the box, you can upgrade later with the component pack if needed. Battery life is strong, and the USB-C charging is fast and reliable. If you want a premium feel and customizable performance without going all-in on the full Elite bundle, the Core version delivers where it counts.

Design and Build Quality: The controller's build quality is exceptional. Performance: The Elite Series 2 Core delivers outstanding performance. Customization Options: The ability to remap buttons, adjust trigger sensitivity, and customize thumbstick tension gives me a level of control that I haven't experienced with other controllers. Battery Life: The battery life is impressive, lasting through several gaming sessions on a single charge. Conclusion: In conclusion, the Microsoft Elite Series 2 Core Wireless Controller is a premium gaming accessory worth every penny.

    Amazing Controller

This controller has been through hell with the amount of times it has been dropped, but I still have no stick drift and it works amazing. The feel of the controller in your hands is equivalent if not better than a scuff controller. If you are debating between an Elite controller vs a Scuff, definitely buy this because a scuff controller will get stick drift after 2-3 drops, and is very fragile. For reference I have really huge hands and it doesn’t seem to effect the feel of the controller in my hand at all.

The Elite Series 2 shows its age by lacking hall effect or TMR sticks. Thus it is very susceptible to stick drift. Reliabilty is also an issue as well. I lucked out I guess as mine lasted about a year before getting stick drift. Battery wise its still the best pro controller Ive tried on Xbox and Ive used almost all of them. Still a decent pro controller especially if purchased on sale. I strongly recommend buying the Best Buy warranty just in case it does have issues.

Highest quality controller I've ever had

I had recently bought the Xbox elite controller as well as the PlayStation Pro and the Xbox elite controller is far superior in quality, feel, and it came with an awesome (also high quality) magnetic charging unit that you can dock the controller on when not in use. I don't want to use any controller other than the Xbox elite- which I use for my PC. This luxury controller truly feels as such. 10/10. Don't hesitate to buy.

Haven’t had for that long and the right bumper sticks for a half second longer then it needs to so it acts like I hit the bumper 3 times some stick drift within the first 3 weeks of use (keep in mind I play competitive cod and some others ) compared with the regular controllers the weight difference is night and day all around better then the controller you would get with the console

Feels great and I love the budget option here if you already own another elite controller as the parts can be moved around. However the first Elite 2 controller I had an issue with the bumper RB and now this one I notice sometime the A button will fail to register or register twice which cause a double jump in some instances when I don't mean to. I still like the controller and extra buttons to map some actions, you can even map keyboard keys to it through xbox but I would have expected an elite controller not to have issues that the standard controllers don't have right out the box. 4/5

Super awesome controller, love the Dpad, controller is sturdy, grip is nice, triggers feel responsive, buttons click well. This controller doesn’t come with paddles so you’ll have to buy them on the side.

Average controller, if you own the elite 2 parts or buy them with it its a slightly above average controller. It has a great feel to it, a tad lighter than original elite series 2. Unfotunately I recieved 2 that withing 2 weeks of recieving i realized was plagued with the same rb lb double or triple click. If that issue was panned out it would be a better buy. The thumbsticks do seem to be better put together than original elite 2, no stick drift out of box. I wouldn't reccomend unless you have the parts for elite 2 already as buying them will net more than just buying elite series 2. Even if you do have the larts be aware you still run the risk of infamous double click.

Very responsive in comparison to many other gamepads I have used. Very solid feel. Fully charged battery seems to last forever. Have played over 10 hours and the bluetooth monitor shows that I am still around 90%. Works well with the bluetooth module built into my MSI X570 Tomahawk motherboard. Worth the extra you pay. Pros: Responsive and wider turning in Need for Speed, Dirt and other racing games. Long battery life Adjustable sticks (comes with the screw driver to increase the tension) Works well with Bluetooth Charges via USB C connector Cons: Really none except to get the extra paddles and sticks you have to purchase the accessories kit

This is the best official controller Microsoft has to offer. I love the weight and feel. Only that’s missing his Hall effect sticks. I bought open box and it was missing the tension adjustment tool so I took off 1 star.

I liked the elite 1, 2 and now I must say this is the best iteration yet. The differences from the 2 are very minuscule. You will have to buy the series two complete component pack if you don't already have the pieces you need from a previous elite controller otherwise your controller will be unplayable.
