First Impressions: Sleek, Minimal, and Purposeful The "Core" in the name is significant. The controller arrives in a sleek white finish (with a black option), presenting a minimalist, almost sporty aesthetic compared to the full Elite Series 2's included carry case. Don't mistake "Core" for "stripped-down" in terms of build quality. The moment you pick it up, you feel the heft and premium construction. The textured grips provide exceptional hold, ensuring it stays firmly in your hands during the most intense gaming sessions. The core components—the high-grade buttons, triggers, and hybrid D-pad—are all here and feel exceptional right out of the box.

This controller is quite literally the peak of controller design. No stick drift, infinite customization (both physical and digital),and snappy response time. I have no issues with this product and it has only help me improve in competitive games such as Call of Duty, Fortnite, and Destiny 2.

Great controller. Because of the button mapping and paddles I was able to greatly improve response times in some games. Played numerous house and very very very minimal stick drift. The elite series controller are always my go to. Some say it’s a little heavy but to me I like the weight and doesn’t seem cheap.

It works good when brand new, within a few month of gameplay. Either the left or the right thumbsticks get stick drift. Then I have to get it exchanged l. BestBuy makes it easy to exchange broken warrantied items with their yearly renewable total protection plan as well.

This thing is so good it’ll make you realize you were the weak link all along. First off, the build quality is incredible. This isn’t just a controller; it’s a work of art. It feels premium in your hands—like holding the gaming equivalent of a luxury car steering wheel. The rubberized grip and weight balance make it clear this isn’t some run-of-the-mill gamepad. It’s like Xbox said, “Let’s make something so good, people will willingly eat ramen for a month to afford it.” The customization options are next-level. Adjustable thumbstick tension? Check. Swappable parts? Check. Hair-trigger locks that make you feel like a sharpshooting legend in Call of Duty? Double-check. I even mapped the paddles on the back for quicker actions, and now my reaction time feels borderline supernatural. (Okay, maybe not supernatural, but at least I can reload without taking my thumb off the stick.) The battery life is ridiculous. I gamed for an entire weekend without charging it, and it still had juice left. I started wondering if it runs on magic. These were Christmas gifts for my 14 year old and 19 year old. They love them and how customizable they are. I did catch them on sale plus got to use my best buy earned credits so that was great as well.

Did not realize twisting the joystick makes it come off. During street fighter the joystick gets loose and i have to re tighten during a fight.

So much better than the standard controller. Quality has always been solid. Have rarely had connection issues. Still the best controller on the xbox side of things, in our opinion. Highly recommended.

The elite series 2 is a great controller up until the moment it is not. I highly recommend the 2 year protection plan for this. I have gone through maybe 6-7 of this controllers since 2020, about 1 a year. Either the Y or B button stops to register or the bumpers no longer work.

Truly the benchmark for quality in gaming controllers. Solid, feels great, and thorough attention to detail. The triggers are long enough for racing games but can be shortened as well. I only wish they let you choose between the concave joysticks or convex like on Nintendo and Playstation. Concave never made any sense...

The price is steep but 100% worth what your paying for! Got 4 elite controllers for my spouse, kids and me and all them still work like new with no issues with the oldest controller being about 2 years old now. $100 for the core version is well worth it since it seems like the basic controllers would become victim to stick drift within 6/7 _-_- months in!

Love the Xbox elite controller. They last years. Second one I've bought. The first one I had lasted about 3-4 years traditional controllers are dead within a year.

My wife bought this for me, along with several other peripheral items, and my new X Box X series, for Christmas 2025. It's been amazing! The sensitivity and ease of use is great. I most definitely would recommend and/or repurchase this controller/brand again!

My controller feels solid and responsive. The buttons have a clean click and the sticks feel smooth. The grip is comfortable during long gaming sessions. I use it on Xbox and my Windows laptop without any issues. Setup was quick and Bluetooth connection stays stable. The blue color also looks sharp in person. I think it is worth the price and it improved my gameplay right away.

Loce the fact that i dont have to replace batteries all the time with this controller and in which, the internal battery last a while, thinking close to 20hrs before recharging if not longer. Enjoying the customization and button mapping for the extra slots.

I didn’t think I noticed much of a difference at first until I forgot to charge this controller, using my old controller felt like using a fisher price toy. This is such nice quality, the charge lasts so long, and it’s heavy in a good way. Weighty.
