People tend to complain about stick drift. Had mine for over a year now and no issue. You can tweak the tightness and settings to your liking.

Awesome controller, minor issue with stick drift but it’ll take about 3-4 months until it really give in.

The #1 thing I've learned over the past few years and dozens of controllers purchased is this: If you're serious about aiming in FPS games on Xbox (not PC/not my wheelhouse), you must buy 1st party Xbox controllers. Microsoft uses a custom algorithm that is only running when using their controllers. So using this knowledge that leaves 3 choices: Xbox Core, Xbox Elite 2 Core, and Xbox Elite 2. If you want back buttons, you have to go Elite. I can vouch that buying the latest lot number i could find of the Elite 2 Core gave me a controller that feels much more put together than an Elite 2 i got in 2020. It should last this time.

This controller is amazing. Like most xbox controllers it will eventually have stick roaming but if you catch it onsale buying it once a year and a half or so it isnt bad if you are a daily user like me.

Ive had the original Elite v1 since it came out. Ive owned multiple XBox's of every generation and have a dozen controllers in my house. I much prefer the Elite controller over all other standard controllers. It just feels better. Ive not owned other brands except a Razer from back in the day but I also prefer the standard Xbox layout/size. Several years and several thousands of hours later, the rubber grip panels on my original elite popped off. The glue failed. I found replacements for cheap and I continue to use it. Its not 100% the same but its close enough. I game on Xbox and PC and got tired of using a non-elite controller on one or the other depending on the game I was playing (I re-pair often). Enter the Elite 2. So, the 2 has bluetooth whereas the original 1 did not. I have the wireless dongle so thats not a feature for me but, it would allow you to use 1 controller for both PC and XBox. Ive owned several BT Xbox controllers and prefer to use the wireless dongle on PC. An improvement over the 1 is there is no longer a groove in the plastic under the middle fingers. Seems odd to mention but hours of playing, the 1 would give me irritation on top of both middle fingers where the plastic joins. This is gone on the 2. Plus. Adjustability on the 2 is also improved. You can adjust the tension of the sticks. I have no desire to do so as it feels like the typical XBox controller Ive been using for like 20 years or whatever. There are now 3 levels of adjustment for trigger travel as well. I mentioned earlier about the 1 causing irritation on top of the middle fingers. The new trigger travel adjusters have moved ever so slightly so now, I feel them on the top of my middle finger tips all the time. The adjusters feel a bit larger as well. They are rounded and not painful. No irritation. I just notice them. On the 1, they were smaller, and barely there on the pads of my middle finger tips depending on the game I played. I dont use the back triggers and removed them from both the 1 and the 2 day 1. I cant comment on the difference if any. I dont use them. The 1 had a replaceable battery like a standard controller but required a micro USB cable just like every other Xbox controller since inception. The 2 is not easily replaceable and requires cracking it open. It does come with a dock. I wont use it personally as it has USB C and thats my preference when it needs charged. I dont doubt the battery will last for years but, Id prefer a user replaceable battery over an included dock. My preference. Lastly, the 1 had a more rubberized grippy feel. After a few years, they did fail. The 2 is more plastic feeling. Its hard to describe but the 1 didnt have a texture on the top of the controller whereas the 2 does which is the part that kind of makes it feel less grippy. Both are plasticy and rubbery / grippy but the 2 is just, well, feels less grippy to me. I dont feel like its going to fall out of my hands but its a different feel than the 1. Its like a new gen Series X/S controller kind of in the texture department but with some (10%?) rubberized feel. Its difficult to explain. I dont consider it a Pro or a Con its just, different. All in all, I much prefer the Elite controllers over the standard Xbox controllers. They just feel better in hand to me. I have no experience with Scuf. I dont use the back / underside triggers. Id prefer a replaceable battery over a dock. All that said, the 1 last me a very long time and thats why I bought the 2. No regrets.

Hard to go back after using this controller, best feel out of any i have tried and the customizable options are great.

Was hesitant in getting a refurbished controller, but as soon as I began using it all that went away. Clearly another level than the standard controllers, but ultimately price speaks volumes and the base price of this device is understandable and still exceeds tolerance. At half the cost, then absolutely a done deal. Same can be said for a standard controller for that matter. These devices shouldn’t be priced the way they are and neither should anything in the console category as they’ve exponentially climbed towards absurdity. If hardware has outpaced game resource demands, then either we don’t need to refresh systems for another ten years or someone needs to tax the system resources with something amazing, to which they have and it didn’t need teraflops. But I digress…awesome controller and refurb totally worth it.

Ones you use a elite controller you can't go back to a normal controller

Great remote, use it for both my console and PC gaming. Feels great in the hand, weight is just right.

I had to buy this as a replacement for the regular Elite Series 2 controller. Unfortunately, that controller grips started to peel. As a stand alone product, I'd say this is a great controller, even though it's $130 with the additional $50 that the parts/add-on bundle will cost. It's a very responsive controller and, knock on wood, has stayed in pristine condition during the couple months I've had it. Like its sister controller, the customization available makes for enhanced gameplay and just adds that small fraction of time needed sometimes in FPS and RPG's.

Great controller especially if you use additional paddles. However the controller does not seem to last more than a year without starting to develop stick drift and bumper issues. I've been through three controllers in less than 3 years with moderate to heavy use. If you buy a BestBuy geek squad extended warranty, just be aware that if you have to use it, you will have to buy another new policy for the replacement controller. The 2 year policy ends as soon as you use it.

For quality ergonomics and shape of most people's hands this controller is perfectly fit for first person shooter games or casual

Great price verse the upgraded one , we had the upgraded one with the case and extra accessories but when it broke and we needed a new onw my son decided on this one instead since he never used the case and all the accessories that came with the other one anyway so the price difference was worth it for us , the only thing I would say is that it would be nice if all the colors were available in both options

Controller is the best out there except for the fact that the thumbsticks will start to drift in a few months. Definitely get the replacement plan. Hall effect sticks just don't feel the same.
