Has a rechargable battery via USB C so that's a plus. My only issue is that it's still a typical Microsoft controller. After 3 months of light usage, both analog sticks were drifting. I had to put a bit of force into the left analog stick in order to register. I suggest getting the best buy replacement plan for this controller.

Super Unreliable Controllers

Standard Xbox One controllers tend to last me about 1 year. This controller lasted me around 500 hours before being completely useless with stick drift. That ended up being around 1 year. However the other elites I owned averaged 3-6 months before breaking. That includes one other elite version 2. The quality on these controllers is very low. The Razer Wolverine may be a better secondary option for now. Though many modern controllers have stick drift issues. The controller should not be 200 bucks without figuring a work around or modular option to replace the sticks when they start drifting. I end up burning through the replacement warranties and its not worth it.

I’ve had this controller for 1 month and it already has stick drift. I take care of my consoles and all of my accessories so this isn’t neglect it’s a matter of extremely poor quality and manufacturing. My brand new Xbox controller that came with the console stopped working after 2 weeks. The Xbox wireless headset I bought stopped working after 1 month and now this Xbox Elite controller is having the same problem. I’ve gone through so much shipping these accessories back to Microsoft to get a replacement and they won’t even promise you a brand new device, they will tell you it might be refurbished. I really hope I can save anyone and everyone reading this from buying an Xbox or any Microsoft accessories for Xbox. Spend the extra money to get a PS5.
