Customers are saying
Customers consistently note the product's great overall performance, excellent battery life, and extensive customization options. They frequently praise its comfortable feel, good weight, and comfortable grip. However, a significant concern raised by users is the issue of stick drift, which appears to develop quickly. Additionally, some customers have experienced problems with button quality and found the price to be a point of hesitation.

Great buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is definitely a step in right direction. Great graphics improved game play for Xbox Series X only. Does not work on Xbox One.

Great controller.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would have given a five star review, but I do not appreciate that the second tall thumbstick that was a part of the series 1 elite is no longer a part of the package nor are the old thumbsticks compatible with the new controller. I would be completely fine with this as most people probably do not use them. However for those of us who do there should be some option to get them or buy them individually.

Actual garbage especially for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Friend gifted me this and I feel bad when we play together because I don't want to hurt his feelings by not using the controller he got me but man is this thing a pile of trash. Here's all the things I've found to dislike about it in the 6 months since I've had it: 1. Bluetooth connectivity is a joke. Frequently drops connection and takes 5-10 secs to reconnnect. I'm told buying the $30 xbox wireless adapter helps but considering the $180 price tag for this that's a slap in the face. 2. Analog sticks have "stick flick bounce" which means when you flick the analog stick to one side very quickly and then it returns to the center there is a chance the controller registers the stick going the opposite direction which makes certain games with fast tight directional character control virtually unplayable. 3. Palm grips have an unpleasant artificial rubber smell that does not go away even with use and which makes you want to wash your hands after every use. 4. Trigger buttons feel horrible to use and only depress maybe 20% of the way into the sleeve with no satisfying click feedback. 5. Customization is very limited and must be done with the Xbox Accessories app. No deadzone customization (which could have helped point 2). There's lighting controls but the only thing that lights up is the Xbox logo. None of the A, B, X, Y buttons light up. 6. Microsoft bought the patent for the rear triggers on the back and have forbidden other controller makers from incorporating the design and limiting it to their $$$ Elite controllers only. Even then the buttons feel worse than that of the Steam Controller's rear triggers with inconsistent actuation force needed depending on the location pressed. Also the bottom two, because of the drooping shape, dig into your pinky when holding the controller normally so I mostly pulled them off and didn't use them. Build quality and physical customization is nice but IMO this controller isn't worth 60$ let alone the extortionate $180 Microsoft is charging.

Third time's a charm?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Going on my third unit because #1 had sticky/intermittent A & X buttons, and #2 has developed a very annoying sticky right trigger (thank goodness for Geek Squad protection.) When it's working properly (which isn't for long) it's a nice controller, but it's been plagued with quality control issues.

Elite2 great but...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have my second elite controller version 1. That one is not functional due to the buttons and sticks breaking. Microsoft XBOX should let you trade in the first 150.00 controller for a discount on Elite 2. Elite2 is very responsive and adds an extra dimension to the fun. It is too expensive, that is the problem. Please give those who bought the first version of the controller a break.

LB/RB Failure
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've bought this controller three times and have used them across three years. However, they always end up having the same problem. The LB always ends up failing. Even after extensive cleanings, the LB and RB buttons always end up failing. These controllers are great and I love them, however, I highly recommend buying the 2 year warranty if you purchase this controller.

Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I’ve had 8; All of the bumpers broke after months.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best controller available but the bumpers are quite literally made out of paper (no seriously, look it up). I have gone through 8 of these in 3 years, they are so good that I cant go back to any other controller but they break even when you take great care of them. I never slam or drop my controllers, I keep them in their case when not in use, and I dont mash the bumpers, yet my bumpers never have lasted more than 3 months. If they fixed this, would be a perfect controller.

Broken parts and unreliable quality.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned 2 different elite series 2 controllers and in the time I have owned them I have been nothing but disappointed. Recently had to use my warranty on my first one because the A button would stick inside the controller (numerous attempts to clean were made) and at certain points buttons on my controller would randomly choose to go off. After getting the new controller, I opened the box and started using it to find that the A button would stick inside the controller, and the thumb sticks had horrendous controller drift. I am severely disappointed with the condition my controller was in fresh out of the box and I will never be buying any more Best Buy, or Xbox products. If you are spending this kind of money on a controller buy one from skuff.

Feels great but doesn’t last
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this controller and used it for about 3 months. I loved it. At first it was the best controller I’ve ever imagined but after 3 months both bumpers stopped registering. Love the feel and look but it’s not worth replacing every 3-6 months.
