Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the product's great overall performance, excellent battery life, and extensive customization options. They frequently praise its comfortable feel, good weight, and comfortable grip. However, a significant concern raised by users is the issue of stick drift, which appears to develop quickly. Additionally, some customers have experienced problems with button quality and found the price to be a point of hesitation.

Got this controller and the sticks started drifting within a few days. Glad I got the protection plan on it so I can exchange it when it starts to really annoy me.

    Buttons stop responding.

Had the controller for just over a year. Noticed in FPS games left trigger stopped registering so would zoom in and out randomly while holding left trigger. Trouble shot online and made sure the triggers were free of dust no luck left trigger continues to worsen in responsiveness. Have dealt with it over the past few months but no A button starting to not register clicks. Replaced with a brand new Elite controller with same issues in less than 3 months. $175 for a controller that last no more than 1 year and I only play games roughly 1-2 hrs 3 nights a week. Do not recommend., Would Look into Scuff much better quality and customer service.

Pretty common problem if you check youtube. I was disappointed. No fix from Microsoft. Videos show you how to disassemble and try to fix. Better to buy the cheaper controller and replace as necessary. Buttons become unresponsive from use. I love the paddles.

Awesome when it works but..3months in

Right bumper and left trigger are sticking after 3 months of use..I had the elite 1 and replaced the bumpers and grips after a year so I guess I shouldn't be surprised with quality the 2nd time around. Highly dissatisfied with a $180 product lasting only 3 months. Sending it back to Microsoft since bestbuy is sold out.

Bought this almost a month ago and out if the box pressing in any direction while pressing Lstick or Rstick doesnt register doesnt click, and feels like there is something blocking the stick internally. Other thab that its a good controller. But this is such a big deal

Great controller. About 5 months into use, the left stick drifts and Xbox warranty covers 4 months. Read up on this problem, apparently it happens a lot. Get the warranty and just keep having Best Buy replace it.

B button sticks and LB presses randomly after about 1.5 years of use. I take great care of my hardware; I still use my 2008 xbox 360 controller.

Don’t waste your money on this controller I bought this assuming it would be high quality and have no issues. It barely stays connected longer than 5 seconds before disconnecting and is unusable because of this. I honestly feel scammed. Scammed enough to make an account just to write this review. So if you’re looking for a good Xbox controller go somewhere else this controller is a waste of time and money.

    Piece of crap

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Do not buy this controller without the Best Buy warranty. The only elite thing about it is the amount of stick drift it has. This is the biggest piece of crap that Microsoft sells. I regret this purchase so badly. Microsoft even knows this is an issue. They will repair it but you have to jump through hoops and go through a lengthy process. It’s to the point that you just want to give up because of how tedious it is in order to fill out a warranty claim for it. I will never buy another controller from Microsoft.

One of the button pads and joysticks was missing, one of the paddles doesn’t work, right bumper stopped working after 2 1/2 weeks and was told you guys can’t do anything about it and to contact Microsoft. I feel like it’s pretty unprofessional to say there’s nothing you can do about it when the controller didn’t even come in as described. Very upset about this whole experience.
