Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the product's great overall performance, impressive battery life, and extensive customization options. They also frequently praise its comfortable grip, good weight, and responsive feel. However, a significant number of customers have reported issues with stick drift developing quickly and concerns regarding the durability of the buttons, including the bumpers. Had it for some time now, build is much better than the original Elite controller but still shares some of its quality woes, especially when it comes to stick drift. They could really fix stick drift issues with an adjustable dead zone in their accessories program, but I digress. Still the best feeling controller I've used by a mile.

I recently purchased this item and my family and I LOVE it! It feels solid and made well and the controls are very smooth. The fact that you charge it in the case and don’t need batteries to keep it running it a HUGE win in my opinion. Overall this controller is very well done. And for those who don’t like or want to use the extra paddles they are easily removable. Well done!

Microsoft's Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 has a not only a premium feel as noted by other reviewers, but also a quality appearance. Optional buttons and adjustments that be made to the controller only add to a stellar gaming experience. Price point might be considered a bit high, but definitely worth it if it can be purchased at a sale price.

This is my third one. They are pretty solid at battery life and adjustable thumbsticks but it seems that the Lb and Rb tend to break easily

Very good controller. A little pricey though. The feel of the device in hand is great and very different from the standard controller. And there are so many configuration options it seems overwhelming.

By no means have I found the controller to be of poor build quality. Everything feels great from the grips to the beautiful metal dpad and padles. The customization is nice, very easy to setup and disassemble/reassemble. Everything that is able to be detached is magnet. Pretty strong magnets. I love how you can turn down the brightnessof the Xbox logo to fairly dim. Trigger stops are the bomb. Paddles are hard to get used to imo

Make sure you buy Best buy's $60 2-year warranty on this. You're going to be able to use it. I'm on my third one now. You have to buy a new warranty every time you trade it in for issues (stick drift on all of them. Right bumper stopped working on one of them. A button got so mushy you couldn't even feel when you were pressing it on two of them). But only having to pay the warranty cost after the initial purchase has been good. It's worth the $60/yr since I would have been wearing out a normal controller every year anyway. The Microsoft should really be ashamed of themselves for using plastic underneath of the joysticks on their elite controllers.

Really cool controller. Takes a little bit to get used to with all the pedals in the back but very useful once you get the hang of it. Cool features being able to interchange the buttons and super smooth movment of the joysticks. Great for gamers or if you're trying to take your gaming to the next level. A little pricey but worth it if you're an avid gamer.

It's a recent generation xbox controller, so it can easily connect to your windows pc without the need of a dongle. The back buttons... on the back... are a life-changer. I would personally have a hard time going back to a controller without back buttons. You can customize the back buttons -and I think the general buttons too- however you want. You can have up to 4 back buttons in total and they are all removable. So if you are unsure about using them all at once, you can simply ease into it. The price is expensive, so make sure to properly think if you want such a product, but it is cheaper than getting the xbox core controller and the separate accessories. Great to play on your xbox or if you like to use controllers for your pc, it is easy to do so.

I’ve been gaming with the elite controller since the Series 1 had released. Coming from an avid gamer, switching from a regular controller to an elite, literally heightens your response time and you’ll gain some extra instincts in-game. The variety and creativity of setting customizations with this controller are intuitive and furthermore intriguing. I have 3 presets; COD, Elden Ring, and Cyberpunk! Which each are unique to their own button mapping layouts. (TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE BACK TAB BUTTONS.) I say if you want to up your gaming experience this is definitely a main tool that will offer that change of play! My only CON would be the peeling that they’ve yet to fix on the side seam of the controllers. With that being said, I highly recommend buying a replacement program through Best Buy. It’s a pocket $aver forsure!

Bought this as a gift for my husband (why). He loves it but that means I'll never see him again since he will now be a gaming master with this controller. He said this is the best controller option for xbox. It definitely expensive in my opinion but it provides more options and setting for the "everyday" gamer.

A year later… still world perfectly. Honestly , there isn’t much to say about it. I love it, the settings are saved across the board Whether I’m using the controller for my Xbox, pc or Used for my phone - it saves the settings for all the games I want to use it for under its profile. Super easy to get used to, and feels amazing. 10/10

Elite S2 Controller is one of the best, if not, THE best Xbox controller out there. The controller itself is insanely comfortable and the paddles are super helpful if the time is put in to use them. The adjustments for the sticks are odd, but useful in many high level games that any gamer should be able to do regardless of controller. Great piece of hardware for any serious nerd out there trying to dominate some games. Enjoy :)

*Buy the GS Protection Plan!* I thought the "2" in Series 2 would indicate an upgrade in parts and components.... I was stupidly optimistic and wrong. Pros: - Grip - Swappable Magnetic Thumbsticks & D-Pad - Paddles - 10 Foot Cable - Case w/ Charger - Multiple Swappable Profiles Cons: - Same terrible buttons and triggers - When you press RB x1 you get RB x3... "The math checks out" - Will Ferrell... This was my third Elite controller and yet another dud... My first one got stick drift in around 3 months... My second one had a mushy/ bad A button coupled with a paddle that wouldn't register presses every time... THIS ONE however had the triple pressing RB after about 6 months... The sad part is at the time I was playing a lot of MLB The Show and while RB is used it isn't like using A or X but eventually one day I was cycling through the dashboard pressing RB and without fail every time it would move me over 3 times.. Tested it in different games and triple press every time. It will be a long time before they completely re-haul these controllers.. But we will unfortunately continue to support them and buy these inferiorly built ones. If they do ever decide to use more premium buttons, bumpers and triggers this controller would be the King. Until then.. if you do decide to gamble on one spend the extra money for the Geek Squad Protection plan! You will end up using it.. I promise.
