Customers are saying
Customers are positive about the Elite Series 2 Core Wireless Controller's high-quality build, excellent battery life, and comfortable grip. Many appreciate the customization options and the controller's overall feel and weight. However, customers are negative about the prevalence of stick drift issues reported by some users, as well as concerns about the durability of certain buttons and bumpers. The positive feedback on features like customization and feel is frequently offset by negative experiences with controller longevity.

Stick Drift Quality Control Nightmare
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Exchanged for a total of 3 times, first one the select button intermittently worked, other 2 had stick drift right out of the box and 2 days into using it...finally exchanged the 4th time for a black elite (the more expensive one) and now this one has stick drift after 4 days of usage...i cannot understand WHY Xbox has such poor quality control and products for as much as they cost! Absolutely ridiculous. Other than these issues the controllers feel great, have a good weight to them, and are very user friendly...but i cannot overlook the blatant issues!

Great, even in the long term!
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this controller. I was hesitant with the pricing but over a year in it is significantly better quality and held up to the abuse. Interchangeably features, crisp selection and a healthy weight makes it’s absolutely enjoyable to use. I use it for both PC and my Xbox.

Had no idea what I was missing out on.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic controller! Been eyeing this one for a while now, and decided that while I'm waiting for the Series X to get back in stock I'd finally treat myself to the controller. I haven't weighed the controller, but I'd estimate it's maybe 40-50% heavier than a standard controller, which is nice to me. The finish looks better than the standard controller and is more "stealth" matte in appearance, and the rubberized grips really do form a subtle grip to my hands within a few minutes (my hands don't sweat during gaming sessions, your mileage may vary). I removed the two lower paddles for the time being and have the two upper paddles set for "sprint" and "reload/interact" in the first profile. It's nice to not take my thumb off of the right stick to tap X to reload. I haven't experimented with the other stick options yet, but I did put the normal D-pad selector on (they're magnetic, so simply pop one off and put the other on). The round D-pad just didn't feel natural, and in both cases the D-pad click is much more definitive and audible than a standard controller...it's the only nitpick I have, but I can live with it. My box does have a FST-00001 label on it, but the manufacturing date puts it in the early part of October 2020. I don't know if Microsoft just gave up on the FST-00008 labels or not, and the Best Buy guys I posed the question to didn't know what I was talking about. They were surprised when I pointed out the model number on the shelf tag didn't match the one on the box. I haven't perceived any of the quality issues that plagued the earlier controller models (no stick drift, bumper feel solid, all LEDs work), so hopefully all will be well. All in all, I like it. I've only been using it for a couple of weeks or so, and when I pick up a plain old regular controller, my middle fingers instinctively look for the paddles, and only then do I realize how accustomed I am to the controller already.

Loving it!
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband gets constant stick drift with his controller! This one is so great because he just needs to replace the piece instead of the whole controller. I recommend!

Good but not good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love it but small quacks here n there makes it not worth all that money. Especially when playing the joysticks can easily come off by the time you get them your opponent has already smoked you lol

Why I think the Xbox elite 2 controller is good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a great controller for games I call of duty rainbow six Siege and a bunch of FPS titles as built-in trigger stops so it feels like mouse click triggers and you could customize the joysticks on the d-pad with bumpers at the back

One of the best multifunctional controllers.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great controller!! but for the price... this controller feels expensive. Great quality materials and funtionality. I love the interchangable thumb sticks that are magnetic. Great response feel. The thumbstick tightness adjustments are great for those percision shots in fps or 3rd person. The buttons and triggers work and feel great. The adjustable triggers are a great component fpr different genre of games. The charger design is amazing with the in case or oit of case ability to plug in. The D pads are great. Im not a fan of the circular D-pad but i changed it out for the cross and it works great. Im glad all these components came in the purchase. Bluetooth works great on PC, android, xbox, but you need a 3rd party connection for ps4. Could not get to work with ps5. The only downside i have with it is it does not have gyroscope capabilities. A niche complaint for those obscure games. All around one of the best controllers I've ever owned.

Almost perfect controller, get insurance for it.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second one I have owned. The first one was great, lasted 2 years of daily gaming. Then the RB button stopped working, so I got this one. Lasted maybe a month before it started randomly disconnecting from my Xbox, never had this problem. It always seems to be at the worst possible time too, mid fight in a game. Then it takes around 40 seconds to actually light up and reconnect even when pressing the button. I will be making a claim on it to get a replacement. The 4 stars is because other than these weird problems this is the best controller to ever exist. Buttons feel amazing, very responsive even with Bluetooth connection instead of wired. In mortal kombat 1, the D pad on this thing is top of the line and can not be beaten. If you’re a mk1 player you NEED this controller.
