Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the controller's exceptional overall performance, impressive battery life, and extensive customization options. Users also frequently praise the device's comfortable grip, balanced weight, and high-quality tactile feel. However, some customers have expressed concerns regarding the durability of the buttons and bumpers, as well as the early onset of stick drift. Despite these technical frustrations and the premium price point, many still consider it a top-tier gaming accessory.

Bought this controller on 12/23/2019 and I about 2 weeks ago I started having issues with stick drift on the left analog stick. Sometimes it does not even reflect if I press up on the stick in the test mode in accessories app. I have the replacement warranty on it, but since the store is sold out they cannot replace the item. BestBuy told me that I need to keep checking back with them to see when they get more in so they can then do the replacement. Extremely upset with BestBuy at this time.

It was a great controller, until it wasn’t. It felt nice and played well until the RB and the A button stopped working or tapped twice when you pressed once. Had to return.

For the controller being 180 I would think it would last longer before it starts having the “drift problem”

I waited a year to buy this thing since I’d seen all the quality control reviews and decided to pull the trigger anyway in hopes that I’d win the product lottery. Sadly, no. The A and B buttons missed about 1/10 presses, the right bumper about 50% too. All right out of the box. Obviously this is going back… Keep up the good work, Microsoft!

They made the paddles smaller. I liked the feel of the larger paddles on the original elite controller. Other than that I guess it’s slightly improved in several areas. I ended up gifting it and keeping my old one.

Stick drift right off the bat, also if you press the right thumb stick hard the controller disconnects completely from my Xbox. 1/10 in quality. I thankfully bought the Best Buy warrant I just haven’t had time to bring it back in. But it’s hot garbage in the quality department.

The XBOX Elite controller Series One was great; stylish, sweat control, size, and most of all durability. When I compare my Elite 2 it does not hold up. The controller feels a little smaller. I have wide and the sweat a great deal when gaming. I’m not sure if the design was based on a in between for female gamers; (not saying all females have small hands); but they must have did something to the design; for it to feel smaller. The sleek new design with the back graph that is suppose to prevent sweat is no more. My hands immediately started to sweat; while playing COD. I’m a gripper.

The sense of touch is great, also is the material and controlling. However, I still need to buy an extra adapter to connect the controller, which is a little ridiculous since it is a 180 dollars product.

    Excellent Open Box Turned Nightmare

I recently picked up the Elite Series 2 open box. The listing said it was in "Excellent" condition. Upon arrival the guy ringing me up opens the box to type serials numbers and when he opens it the whole case and controller REEKS of cigarettes. I think no worries ill lysol it down and air it out. Also, all the thumbsitcks are basically smoothed out showing a decent amount of wear and tear. More like good or fair condition, not excellent. Then the cherry on top. I get home and test the controller using the xbox accessories app. The right bumper doesnt work.... Are yall even testing your devices or giving them a quick wipe down? This is an abysmal listing and the second controller thats been listed as "excellent" but has been trashed with use. Im tempted to do a charge back for false advertising and i definitely wont be purchasing ANYTHING open box from Best Buy. The only thing this store is good for, is picking up NEW Samsung devices.

Overpriced and overrated. It comes with a nice case and has a nice comfortable design but also has terrible functionality. The buttons aren’t always responsive and usually have to be pressed hard enough to register. No light tapping. I don’t play FPS games so the back buttons were useless to me. Taking this back for a refund.
