Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the controller's exceptional overall performance, impressive battery life, and extensive customization options. Users also frequently praise the device's comfortable grip, balanced weight, and high-quality tactile feel. However, some customers have expressed concerns regarding the durability of the buttons and bumpers, as well as the early onset of stick drift. Despite these technical frustrations and the premium price point, many still consider it a top-tier gaming accessory.

If you’re on the fence about the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller, don’t be — this thing is on a completely different level. The build quality alone feels premium right out of the box. It’s heavy in the best way, solid, and just screams durability. But what really makes it stand out is the functionality. The customizable paddles on the back completely change how you play — once you get used to them, going back to a normal controller feels limiting. The adjustable thumbstick tension is a game changer too. You can fine-tune it depending on the game, whether you want precision for shooters or smoother movement for casual play. The trigger stops are another huge win, making everything feel faster and more responsive. Battery life is also a big improvement — it actually lasts, which is rare for high-performance controllers. And being able to save multiple profiles means you can switch setups instantly depending on the game you’re playing. Overall, the Xbox Elite Series 2 isn’t just a controller, it’s an upgrade to your entire gaming experience. Once you use it, it’s hard to go back.

Best controller in the market hands down. Love the grip on it and also the back sticks that makes hitting a button without losing grip on the controller way easier. This is the only controller that I use and I’m on pc. I tried different controller and this seems to be the best one. Wish it was a bit price friendly though.

Great controller, good for different games. Because of the ability to remap your controls to fit your place style. Only issue is the grips get loose over time and start to fall off. Occasional, stick drift If you play rough with your remote. I had this remote for almost a year.

Best Buy offered the best deal I could find for the Elite 2 controller. I appreciate its heavier and more durable feel compared to the regular controller. The attempt to fix the grip issue and the switch to USB-C are also positives. However, it would be even better with hall effect or a similar feature to prevent stick drift. It's worth noting that these controllers came out before hall effect joysticks became more common. Perhaps this is something they will consider for the Elite 3 design improvements.

    Best Budget Xbox Pro Controller

I was really skeptical about purchasing an Xbox controller that retails for over twice the price of the standard one that comes with the one in the box, but I’m glad I did. Some reviews point out that stick drift is an issue with these, and luckily for me that issue hasn’t arisen for me yet (knock on wood). Once you get used to the feel of the Elite Series, you will fall in love. The texturized rubber handles help ensure you never lose your grip mid-session. Adjusting the resistance of the thumbsticks couldn’t be easier, same goes with the triggers. I love being able to choose the color of the Xbox logo that sits atop the controller, as simple as it may be. Three different presets lets you swap between different layouts and color combinations on the fly. My only gripe with this is of course the lack of hall-effect joysticks, and the D-pad. If you’re like me and are tough on your controllers by forcefully mashing buttons during intense situations, you may find that this controller is a deal breaker. The D-pad will come off way too easily. I debated purchasing the more expensive version of the Elite Series 2, but I’m glad I cheaped out. If I ever find that I do need the extra accessories, they’re just a $50 purchase away. Not to mention the nice colors you can choose from when it comes to the Core iteration. Give it a shot, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

If youre accustomed to the xbox controller, you'll feel right at home here. It includes all the ergonomics youve come to enjoy over the years, but includes all the bells and whistles. Controller is sturdy, weighty, and feels premium in thr metal and matte materials. The hair triggers are an especially useful tool for serious FPS players. Highly recommend.

The package came at a different address a couple houses away but it was alright since this controller exceeded my expectations, the grip feels nice on my hands and the controller overal seems to be pretty durable. I found some troubles with the button mappings on the controller but that was just because there are many options and different customizations available. If your looking to buy this controller I’d say you should and it is worth the price!

I love it works great for every game I want to play it feels great in my hands I don't have to stress out I can just not have to deal with what you normally have to deal with with a regular controller this control is unique it has its own personal customization feature to it so I would definitely get this and I know it's 180 bucks but it's worth it

I own 10 various xbox controllers including 3rd party "pro-style" controllers with buttons on the back. While many of them are good, non hold a candle to the elite 2 for pure comfort and performance. I think it's the perfect weight and just feels right. I do recommend getting the warranty as i did wear one out in about 22 months (hundreds of hours of Halo infinite) but the 2 year warranty i added at time of purchase was seemless to use. Just brought my old one in and walked out with a new one. For competitive play it's a must-buy.

The controller is an absolute upgrade over a regular controller. I like the weight to it, also the trigger locks and other characteristics it has. But, be warned, buy a warranty for it. After awhile, like all Cbox controllers you get stick drift or buttons that dont work.

I love this controller! It’s my go to when I game. It’s a little smaller to me, which is important. Because I have tiny hands! The grip has a nice feel to it. Only thing I don’t like about this controller is my RB sometimes does not work. As well as the joint sticks can get stick drift. Make sure to get the warranty.
