If there's not one at our store (only once in 15 years) they get one from a nearby store for me right away. Hubby likes this one because it's meant to go with his PS5 and isn't a knock off.

You basically need to have the geek squad warranty unless you want to deal with Microsoft.

For the cost of the controllers its seems they should be better built. I would recommend getting a warranty on it. My son is on his 3rd one in 2 years.
