Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the product's great overall performance, excellent battery life, and extensive customization options. They frequently praise its comfortable feel, good weight, and comfortable grip. However, a significant concern raised by users is the issue of stick drift, which appears to develop quickly. Additionally, some customers have experienced problems with button quality and found the price to be a point of hesitation.

    Great, but eventual stick drift

I’m on my 10th or so Xbox elite series 2 controller. They are great until they are not, which is why I have had so many. They usually start getting stick drift around 6-10 months in with normal use (avg 3-5 hour gaming sessions about 3-4 times a week). I always get the Best Buy protection and just come swap for a new one after it starts drifting, and just buy a new plan for the replacement knowing it’s going to happen to that one too. Wish they would upgrade these to TMR sticks to eliminate the drifting issues and this would be hands down the best controller to game on.

I had the first series elite and it’s joystick started drifting to the point it was unusable. The Elite 2 I just bought and had for maybe 2 months is starting to drift now as well. Unacceptable for a “premium” controller

This is not about the controller but a review about purchasing an open box item. The item that i got stinks so bad so i decided to return the item. When i got to the store, one associate inspected the item and told me that the serial numbers do not match on the order. I mean its not my fault that they made a mistake on this. Luckily one of the supervisor accepted the return. This was a very bad experience and i will surely think twice before i buy another open box item.

    "Premium" controller with cheap parts

I was super excited to try this controller given the fact that I had only ever used a standard xbox controller. In the last year I have gone through a total of four controllers (thank god for geek squad replacement plan). On average each controller only lasted me 3-4 months, after that I begun to experience "drift" and button malfunction. After over a year I felt I had gave the Elite Series 2 a fair shot and can confidentially say they were a let down. I resorted back to the traditional xbox controller which I have had zero issues with after 6+ months.

Just like the title says. I've only had it since 12/2023. Right trigger is making some weird noise and it doesnt always shoot. Just a heads up, those metal looking triggers are painted plastic. Theres nothing premium about this controller except the price.

Bought it in August 2020 and RT no longer works without heavy pressing. The same happened to me with the elite 1. That one also lasted 1 to 1.5 yrs. Great when it works but will be sticking to the regular controllers going onward.

this remote didn't last a year. My issue with the remote is when i play bumper jumper. The bumper get wore out to easy. I've used other remotes like the Razer Wolverine which has lasted me a longer time, but unfortunately it's a wired controller.

    Stick dead zones are horrible

This controller was so bad I had to leave a review. The first elite controller is superior by far than this one, aside from build quality. The dead zone on the sticks was horrible. I thought my gameplay was off because I was on a newer controller but it appears that this is a common issue according to the support sites as well as Reddit. I’ve tried adjusting settings of the controller and my game to no avail. I’ve had this controller for less than 12 hours and it’s getting returned tomorrow. Hope this review helps.

Warranty Extended to 1 Year, How Do I Replace?

Bought this very expensive controller in Sept. 2020, and it has issues identified on the Xbox support site. The support site also says that the warranty on this controller has been extended to one year from date of purchase, which means that this controller should still be under warranty and be replaced for free. When I registered it on Microsoft, it shows the warranty expired. Microsoft team, how do I get a replacement controller for this known defective controller?
