Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the product's great overall performance, excellent battery life, and extensive customization options. They frequently praise its comfortable feel, good weight, and comfortable grip. However, a significant concern raised by users is the issue of stick drift, which appears to develop quickly. Additionally, some customers have experienced problems with button quality and found the price to be a point of hesitation.

I’ve had the controller for 4 months, used it very lightly and 4 buttons are already not registering some clicks. I’ll be going with scuff next time.

This remote was not worth the money. You pay so much more for some extra toggle buttons which you never use

Bought January.... Left Thumbstick broken in June... Other then that. The remote has been awesome. Battery is great. Game play has been awesome. I had the first gen elite remote for years with no issues. Now I have a $200 paperweight.

What's the point of having 4 extra buttons if you can only map them to existing buttons? Microsoft should include a license for real button mapping software with this $180 controller. The discontinued steam controller at least has functional software.

Great controller. For a month. This is my third since release and the same with all of my friends. Get the geek squad warranty of you even think about buying this. Left joystick starts wandering quickly. Then comes the right.

The controller is great, but recently the RB has stop working. I'm seeing similar reviews regarding this controller online. If your Microsoft warranty is up then you have to pay $100 for a replacement. $180 for a controller that lasted 5 months.

Purchased on 6/26. Less than 2 months, the controller has developed left stick drift and now the paddles don’t work. And I just found out there is a class action lawsuit against Microsoft. Will be returning.

Controller was good and then the left stick stopped working. Could not get Bestbuy to replace it. Came to find out this is a common problem. Would stay away from this controller as Microsoft has acknowledged ongoing issues.

Terrible. Lasted all of 6 months before the left stick started drifting without even touching it. I play maybe once or twice a week and this thing still didn't last. Not what I expected for such a high priced controller.

This was a Christmas gift for my son which broke 6 months later. The remote only comes with a 90 day warranty I spent triple the price to buy a better remote but should have just bought a standard remote and saved my money.
