Customers are saying
Customers consistently note the product's great overall performance, excellent battery life, and extensive customization options. They frequently praise its comfortable feel, good weight, and comfortable grip. However, a significant concern raised by users is the issue of stick drift, which appears to develop quickly. Big Improvement
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the first elite controller with the Xbox one elite bundle and that controller was great but had many flaws. This one has improved those flaws by far and the one I have to say was the biggest one for me was the magnetic strength of the back buttons and the thumb sticks. They constantly fell off as soon as I dropped it. This one holds them in place very well, the back buttons have better grip as well as the thumb sticks. The battery life on this on is by far superior than the first series. Sometimes I don't even have to charge it, It just works how I want it to work. However I would like to see the back buttons in future generations having a straight design due to having large hands and wanting to grip my controller firmly all around, I switch my back buttons backwards to help compensate my dexterity, but that's just me.

"...An elegant weapon for a more civilized age."
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm upgrading from the original Elite controller, which I acquired specifically for a competitive edge in Call of Duty matches on XBL. If you've an online gamer who has never used a controller with paddles, you're missing out. They take some getting used to but they make every game better. Paddles - The Series 2 does not disappoint except perhaps the smaller paddles. Thankfully, the larger paddles from my original Elite fit the Series 2 but the old sticks unfortunately do not. Thumb sticks - The given thumb sticks are not all matching pairs, which was surprising. Only two of the sizes are matched. You're also given 1 flat-convex-short, and 1 tall-concave stick, presumably for your aiming stick which is how I have mine configured. The tension adjustment knobs on the sticks are a fantastic addition. The added tension helped smooth out my aim when on a high look-sensitivity setting. Triggers - The added texture on the triggers is welcome but the biggest improvement is the 1mm trigger-stop. Combined with setting your triggers to 0-1, it converts the trigger into a proper button and makes for an actual hair-trigger. This is a huge improvement over the original Elite controller. Appreciated bells and whistles - Three +1 profiles. However, the default profile has its light set to full brightness, and this is the new way to deactivate the paddles. On the original Elite controller you could double tap the sync button to disable/enable the paddles. Now this feature is provided by the default profile? Okay, I guess. In-case USB-C charging - That is quite convenient and was an unexpected bonus. In fact, the entire charging dock/case situation is fabulous. And once again, you get the high-quality braided USB cable. Easter egg - A small glitch on launch day: If you upload your old Elite profiles to the controller and you had the brightness set at 0 for the guide button, and you then load that profile into the Series 2, you will find the guide light is even dimmer than if you setup a new profile with 0 brightness. If you adjust the brightness of the old profile and then set it back to 0, you will notice it is slightly brighter, which is the new 0 brightness value. Once you change the old profile's brightness, the very dim setting will no longer be available.

Worth the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my third elite controller would not by anything else had a scuff controller lasted me a year and a half my leak controllers go for about two maybe three years before I need a new one but if you have the original elite or the elite GEN two controller and the charging kit then For the money getting this controller without the case and the charger considering I already have it made it a great buy

Amazing controller
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive owned a series 2 since its release date, to this day (11/19/24) it still works as new. There is the slightest stick drift but it bothers me none. I play a bunch of COD, Fortnite, and rocket league and it is perfect. I will be getting a new one soon on black friday

Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quality controller and is definitely an upgrade from the stock controller that comes with the Xbox. Definitely see a difference in gameplay especially when trying to hold my aim while shooting in warzone. Back pedals are a bit too much for me. Maybe trying using one set at a time and not all four but I’m good with out them

Good controller needs minor improvements
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The paddles can easily be bumped due to the small frame of the controller and I’ve had the controller for maybe 1.5 months and already have a drift. I do like the customizable settings like the sensitivity curve etc.

Once You Try It, You Can Never Go Back.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a 'pro' controller to be $100+ more expensive than it's 'base' equivalent it has some pretty big shoes to fill. Even still, it exceeds expectation. The hardware feels so precise in your hands, and the level of customization leaves very little to be desired. This is a controller that will fit your desired play-style(s) for just about any game and make you want to never pick up the controller that shipped with your console EVER again.

Awesome controller
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this controller for quite a while now. I love how it is programmable and the feel is nice. However, after a year, the little buttons underneath are not responsive, and the right bumper button is intermittent. Other than that, i like this controller and going to get another one

Tons of great features, but still a flawed design
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I want to like this controller. Honestly, I do really like this controller. The problem is that it just doesn't function well. I have tried 4 times to get one that functions correctly, but ultimately the A button is just unlikely to ever function correctly 100% of the time due to a fundamental design flaw with all Xbox One (and probably Series X/S) controllers. Yes, I've tested a fair number of them and disassembled them to find why they aren't working. That's why I'm confident it's a design flaw and not a quality control issue. I'm not entirely sure why it seems to be worse on the Elite Series 2, but it is and it's really frustrating having the button just not register when I press it. Until Microsoft starts caring about their controllers and fixes the problem, I just cannot recommend this controller to people. At $180, it should work flawlessly, but it just doesn't. Who knows, maybe you'll get lucky and everything will line up perfectly such that your specific controller happens to work reliably, but it really shouldn't be a gamble at this price. If you don't mind being unable to reliably actuate buttons (you know, a basic controller function), then this controller is great. It has the smoothest thumbsticks out there, the adjustable tension is awesome, and the back paddles are perfectly positioned. It just feels great, though I wish there was a bit more give to the trigger stops instead of such an aggressively solid stop at the end of the pull.
