Solid piece of hardware, and wildly customizable.
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far everything has been on par or better than the series one. great for use both on Xbox one and PC. Haven't personally tried the X,(I haven't been able to get one yet either. You're not alone!) but all the specs say it should work there too! Best part so far is the rubber wont fall off of this model. Unlike the series ones, as the whole case is rubberized. One note, be aware of the cords if you buy off brands later on. the controller itself needs a usb-c input. (The new rounded/oval shaped one.) It comes with all the cords you need though, so not something to worry about right away, but worth knowing that it's not the, used on everything, micro usb like the series one. But it's a better connection for newer machines. So it'll be better for the long run. Outside of fully moving the stick and button positions, (Like some of the wilder custom units.) you can personalize *literally* everything, and you have more variety of thumbstick styles and textures to match what you're actively playing, compared to the series one. It also just has a good feel. It's a simple thing, but it feels solid and well made.

It’s a controller
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does what a controller is supposed to do control a game but wait it has extra buttons! Kidding it does the same thing as a cheapo that comes with your console and if you are sweaty enough to need the ability to adjust your joystick resistance or your trigger engagement/pull distance than this is 100% for you

Top Xbox/PC controller hands down!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this controller to replace my Wolverine Chroma from Razer. The idea behind the swtich was the integration of this controller and with the NOW ability to map keyboard functions to it. This is a huge win for those who PC game and console game as well. The Razer Wolverine Chroma, a good controller for sure, has no plans to support that mapping feature, which became somewhat of a dealbreaker: Overall, the feel, ease of use , and the profile functions on the controller are top notch and will be sticking with this controller for a long time.

Finally lives up to its promise!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Maybe I just got lucky but this is the first Elite Series 2 controller I've purchased without button issues right out of the box. After a few attempts to get a working controller through Microsoft's warranty program, I finally decided to just return the $179 version. I saw this $129 controller in store and decided to take one more stab at it, maybe they'd finally resolved their issues. At first glance -- it does appear to work way better than the $179 verison, and it still has all the comfortable heft that the previous controller has. The only downside is that this version doesn't come with the charging case and extra paddles/thumbsticks. On the upside, Microsoft lets you keep the paddles/thumbsticks from the mainline Series 2 controller when replacing under warranty, so I have plenty of those laying around! :D

Bad build quality
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this after having to Elite Series 2 controllers fail on me in less than 3 years and decided to try the cheaper Core version to save some money. It didn't go well. The right joystick was loose, and the cap not screwed on tightly and the stick spun freely. I was able to hand tighten it but didn't exactly feel confident at that point. I connected the controller and discovered the right stick was drifting badly out of the box, over 17% percent on input tester. Beyond that, the sticks just didn't feel nearly as good as a standard Elite Series 2, the right stick felt like it was grinding on the shell, not the smooth feel of the original, and the joysticks just overall felt cheaper. The whole controller just felt cheaper in general, and I decided not to pick up another one upon returning it. I'm just going for a cheaper controller at this point. I'm sick of having such bad build quality on $130+ controllers.

||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing controller. What a difference. The weight and balance is night and day compared to a stock controller. The ability to fine tune the tension of the toggles is amazing. Any serious gamer should own one.

Improvement on the first one
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the first elite controller for a long time and really liked the controller, but it had a tendency to break with the rubber coming off and stick drift. This controller is a direct improvement on the first one and is so good so far. The buttons and analog sticks are much more responsive and customizable. Perfect for FPS.

AMAZING controller, but 3 negatives
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, I LOVE this controller, but I have three comments on it, one major: 1) Immediately upon purchasing it, the A button started sticking. I looked up the issue and this was somewhat common, but people said that it got better with wear over time. This was the case for me as well, so no more issues here 2) (the major one) At the shortest trigger pull setting, the right trigger squeaks SO LOUDLY, that others in the same party can often times hear it over my mic. It’s extremely annoying and I want to know if there is a way to fix this. 3) Not a huge deal, but the controller has an unnoticeable offset in the grips. This is only apparent when set on a flat surface. The controller will rock maybe 0.3-1.0mm. This may be the cause of that trigger squeak, though that is just a theory. These three negative comments aside, this controller is EXCELLENT. The grips are actually extremely durable and the surface stays pretty clean, with no real marring or scratches. Overall, I love this controller.

Great for fast paced gaming/custom controls.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had an elite controller in the past that had some issues (button sticking, mild stick drift even after adjustment). This one feels like they finally have it figured it out. I haven’t had any issues. I love being able to map buttons to the extra triggers and how responsive the controls are. Great for fast paced games (ARPGS, FPS, Battle Royales).
