This is the only controller my son uses now. He loves it and brags to his friends all the time. (I personally don’t know anything about it as I do not play)

So I purchased the Elite Series 2 controller, last year when it first came out, I actually swapped it for my original Elite controller (I had gone through a few of those as the rubber on the back came off them easily but that's another story). I was taken aback by the fact that the controller has a built-in battery. This is good in theory but the long term ramification is that eventually, the battery won't hold a charge as long as it once did, and eventually, it won't hold a charge at all. This is problematic since you have no way of swapping the battery out as you could in any other controller. But, the reason I'm writing this review now is that I'm having an issue that so many other people are having, my Series 2 is starting to have button response issues. More specifically the right bumper is barely registering my pressing it and sometimes doesn't seem to acknowledge it at all. I have an extended warranty with Best Buy but they are unable to replace it due to the fact that they don't have anymore. They suggested that I contact Microsoft about replacing the controller, but with a mere 90-day limited warranty, that ensures that by the time most people have issues like mine, they will be well outside of the manufacturer's warranty period. It's a real shame because the controller when it works is pretty good, the weight is satisfying and when everything works it's a very responsive controller. But I can't recommend the controller knowing that it probably won't even make it a full year with standard use.

I love this controller because it’s very sturdy, and the analog sticks are robust as well. I’m glad this controller comes in multiple colors, and I do recommend it to everyone.

Great controller, better that the elite 1. I use it for both competitive an casual gaming on a broad spectrum of gaming genres! Highly recommend!

Bumper triggers are susceptible to damage; however, they are quite nice.

I had the elite 1. After many years of use the rubber grips we’re beginning to peel away. I was anxious for an upgrade. So glad I did. It is a fabulous controller. Main reason I jumped was the sale price.

Instantly you feel the qaulity of this controller! The response on this compared to the regular ones is insane! I noticed just playing NHL22 the response.. Great options as you can have 3 profiles and then the default one. The triggers are awesome! You can customize your sensitivity and comes with a carry case as it should for $180 which is the only CON about this as no controller should cost that.. Now i always wanted this but never wanted to spend the money but the wifey got this as an Xmas gift :) So if you have the money to spend go for it... now probably get the 2 year warranty next week as she didn't buy it but based off my experience on regular controllers might just do so since this is a high end controller...Impressive upgrade from the last one! Bought as a gift for my spouse. He was very happy with it. He likes that you can change out the buttons and pads to completely customize the controller.

Is it expensive? Yes Is it worth it? YES. It's heavy which makes it feel sturdy, the paddles on the back add extra inputs (which I love) and the trigger locks are a godsend for shooters.

Great controller. A lot of customization and features. The only issue is the analog sticks. They will eventually get stick drift unfortunately.

Though a little on the pricey end, i love my elite series controller. The build and quality of the controller is perfect and it’s definitely the best looking and especially best feeling controller I’ve probably ever used. Would recommend to anyone willing to splurge for the best quality you can buy. Definitely do research on if you’re willing to deal with the problems the controller may get over time, mostly just bumpers being unresponsive for some reason. That is the only downside and I wish a newer model would address this problem in the future or else it would really really be a perfect controller.

Fully customizable within windows set dead zones color for the xbox button. Configure trigger as a one touch so it acts like a mouse click as soon as they are pressed or make them better for a throttle.

It’s a very good controller that will last a long time. My bf has charged it maybe twice in the last 8 months of having it. It’s perfect

This controller replaced a white one we had that broke. My son still uses this controller every time he plays his game. I don't know too much about gaming but my son speaks highly of this controller. BUY THE WARRANTY!

For an OEM controller, its great. Durability and longevity really depends on your use. Make sure to get the 2 year extended warranty from Microsoft only. You can buy paddles for cheaper third party
