Best controller I’ve used

Great controller
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great controller love the customization of the sticks, Dpad, and the triggers. Very premium feel as well as it feeling very sturdy. Connectivity is great as well with bluetooth. Price is a bit high for a controller honestly though.

PC gamer here
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use a controller for PC and I had a normal controller, then a normal elite and its charging port finally gave out and decided to try this guy out. Ive had it for about almost 2 weeks now and it is the best/most comfortable controller I have owned, also I think my normal Elite was just worn out because this one drastically improved my running game in Madden 21 on PC and my aiming in COD. The feel is nice and grippy and has a nice weight. All the customizations are awesome as well. Overall improvement to the original!

Awesome

Quality of life for FPS
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've really been enjoying this controller. The rechargeable battery was something I'm glad this came with. I like the old 360 thumb sticks which this comes with an assortment of different ones. The D-pad pictured in the advertisement is nice for fighting games but you can switch that out too. The only real issue I've had is with the paddles on the bottom. You'll need to train your muscle memory to accept them. Overall, they are the better way to play. Do yourself a favor and disable the x y a b buttons in the menus on the XBox/PC. The controller is heavy compared to the standard ones. It's solid and the grip is awesome. You'll need to relinquish that death grip most people play with in order to get accustomed to the paddles. Another thing is that the paddles are great for reassigning buttons like the Thumbstick - To - Run assignment most Call of Duty games have. Sea of Thieves does this. Again it's relearning how to walk, run, and jump. When you finally get it, your K/D ratio will increase dramatically, ie you are no longer taking your thumbs off the movement sticks to hit buttons. Some of the more advanced features are not explained like cording several buttons together for special commands.

The best of the best
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best controller you could ever buy for Xbox and pc. Would be 5 stars, except the bumpers can’t seem to last longer than a couple of years. Definitely get the replacement plan on it. Other thank that, it’s comfortable, solid, highly customizable and extremely precise.

Outdated but still great
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Elite Series 2 shows its age by lacking hall effect or TMR sticks. Thus it is very susceptible to stick drift. Reliabilty is also an issue as well. I lucked out I guess as mine lasted about a year before getting stick drift. Battery wise its still the best pro controller Ive tried on Xbox and Ive used almost all of them. Still a decent pro controller especially if purchased on sale. I strongly recommend buying the Best Buy warranty just in case it does have issues.

Quality controller that you cannot go wrong
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a bit hesitant to buy this, especially because of the pricing. Wasn’t sure if the price was gonna make it up or feel any different than any regular controller I used but I was so wrong. You can feel a difference in a quality controller. I love the case it comes with and the customization is great. Need to play a few hours with it to change it to your settings. Charging battery is a lot better as well and the pads make it easier to play more competitive if that’s what you want.

Love this control
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Old reliable right here. Ive tried a few different controllers and always come back to the elite 2 series because of its sturdiness, heaviness, button map quality and ease of use and it connects with my wireless headsets

Feels good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent so far just make sure you buy the charger because it didn’t come with it. Actually it had a cord with a USB that plugs into the Xbox but that never worked so I had to buy a secondhand one on eBay. The charge lasts like one week playing every day so that’s good and it’s a very it feels very heavy duty like it’ll last. It’s expensive tho.

Great controller
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this controller! It’s heavier than a normal Xbox controller, which is nice. The rubberized grips are great for extended gameplay. It also has a great battery life so far. Overall, great controller. I would definitely recommend this to others.

Love these controllers pver the standard.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have a black series 2 controller and the core and the back pedals are helpful. The stop triggers are a nice feature and the battery life lasts days on a single charge. These controllers are comfortable. The only thing about my black one is I had it for two months and it already has a slight stick drift with the right stick.

Build Quality Could Be Better.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Elite because I was sick of bumpers/sticks etc. breaking on my standard Xbox controller. And for a while, these controllers performed well. They feel great, the weight is good, and the accessories/customization options are a plus. But the bumpers still don't last. Look, I'm not throwing my controller around, dropping it, or button mashing. But somehow, miraculously, Microsoft made the bumpers on the Elite controller just as poorly as the original controllers; they get mushy/break with regular, long-term use. Overall, it's a good controller. Just pay up and get the Best Buy warranty, because you'll probably need it.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best controller I've used to date. Has some weight to it and feels grippy. The software allows you to remap buttons and change the color of the x button. Id definitely spend the extra money for the case dock and paddles.

Excellent gaming controller
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The controller is sturdy, responsive, works great. The new design that uses rechargeable batteries and included charging stand, is a much improved feature over prior generation that used a cable to power the device. Prior design also ran on alkaline batteries, but constantly had to replace them, costly. The rechargeable batteries last long time between charges. No cons with the new design. Little pricey, but worth it. Make sure to purchase extended warranty, helps reduce replacement cost down the line.

Had no idea what I was missing out on.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic controller! Been eyeing this one for a while now, and decided that while I'm waiting for the Series X to get back in stock I'd finally treat myself to the controller. I haven't weighed the controller, but I'd estimate it's maybe 40-50% heavier than a standard controller, which is nice to me. The finish looks better than the standard controller and is more "stealth" matte in appearance, and the rubberized grips really do form a subtle grip to my hands within a few minutes (my hands don't sweat during gaming sessions, your mileage may vary). I removed the two lower paddles for the time being and have the two upper paddles set for "sprint" and "reload/interact" in the first profile. It's nice to not take my thumb off of the right stick to tap X to reload. I haven't experimented with the other stick options yet, but I did put the normal D-pad selector on (they're magnetic, so simply pop one off and put the other on). The round D-pad just didn't feel natural, and in both cases the D-pad click is much more definitive and audible than a standard controller...it's the only nitpick I have, but I can live with it. My box does have a FST-00001 label on it, but the manufacturing date puts it in the early part of October 2020. I don't know if Microsoft just gave up on the FST-00008 labels or not, and the Best Buy guys I posed the question to didn't know what I was talking about. They were surprised when I pointed out the model number on the shelf tag didn't match the one on the box. I haven't perceived any of the quality issues that plagued the earlier controller models (no stick drift, bumper feel solid, all LEDs work), so hopefully all will be well. All in all, I like it. I've only been using it for a couple of weeks or so, and when I pick up a plain old regular controller, my middle fingers instinctively look for the paddles, and only then do I realize how accustomed I am to the controller already.
