Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the Elite Series 2 Core Wireless Controller's high-quality build, excellent battery life, and comfortable grip. Many appreciate the customization options and the controller's overall feel and weight. However, customers are negative about the prevalence of stick drift issues reported by some users, as well as concerns about the durability of certain buttons and bumpers. The positive feedback on features like customization and feel is frequently offset by negative experiences with controller longevity.

Good quality but expect some stick drift on day 1

This controller is better than a regular Playstation or Xbox controller. I've also used Scuf. The paddles feel better than any I've used. The overall value of this controller is great - the ability to remap any button is huge, along with setting up multiple profiles for a few different games. A lot of custom controller manufacturers don't have their own software to do this and won't let you remap on the fly. Also, the ability to adjust the tension in the thumbsticks is amazing! In the hands it's comfortable, feels like quality (not cheap plastic), and looks clean. Expect a little bit of stick drift on day one. Mine was actually so bad I replaced it a week later and got one that wasn't as bad, but still has some drift.

Elite Series 2 is good but could be more durable

Microsoft makes a good produce with this as the additional buttons on the back (the paddles) allows you more range of activities within games. the weight and the feel of this is very good. the only reason why I don't give this 5 stars is because as with the Elite Series 1, the Elite Series 2 ends up malfunctioning after heavy usage. I do not slam or throw my controller so I know it isn't from mishandling. with my current Elite Series 2, I've been using the Left and Right Bumpers a lot (with NFS Unbound) and the Right Bumper is not less responsive than it initially was. If Microsoft starts using more durable materials then it will be an easy 5 star rating.

Great controller, no issues with it at all. If you already own the paddles this is the perfect controller for you.

Solid controller. The battery holds a charge for many playing hours. The customization is unlimited. You can configure to your style of play and the programmable buttons make in game moves almost like cheating.

This is is my 2nd elite purchase. As with all controllers there will be wear and stick drift, but I can’t think about playing with something other than an elite.

This controller is pretty fantastic, and a remarkable upgrade in a few ways from the previous version. It has better paddles that are a little snappier, so you wont accidentally depress them in the heat of the moment of gameplay. It has better sticks with a bit more control to them. And it has the ability to charge on a little stand that comes with it, which is super nice to have. The part that has bothered me are the AXBY buttons. I have gotten three of these thus far since I decided to purchase them through Best Buy, and the Y button specifically, on all of them, has to be depressed at exactly the right angle in order for it to connect and follow through with the input. Apparently, this is just a quirk of these controllers, which for the amount of money you spend on them, is really unacceptable. I believe this can be fixed but it requires you to pull off the front face of the controller, and I'm not ready to do that yet. Just know that this has a potential issue with the buttons.

Found this on sale; it was an great replacement for my original controller. The replacement option was the plain xbox controller and once you play with an Elite it is hard to turn back.

While I’m partial to the PS controllers due to not liking the feel of stock XBox controllers, this one is amazing. It’s got great weight, and feels like a premium product. The personalization options are great and it’s very easy to setup. If you play a lot of games, get one. Your hands deserve it.

I really love this controller! Originally purchased an elite series 2, and traded for this and haven’t looked back. I bought some aftermarket paddles and I’m good to go for pretty much anything I could want to control in a game. I have found that it’s super helpful to map the L3 and R3 button clicks to the bottom paddles. That is worth the price of admission alone the triggers feel amazing, the grips in your hands on your skin just feel next level. I recently purchased an Xbox to play Starfield being a PS5 I thought I was going to have problems with the controller, but I prefer this one to the PlayStation. If you are a new Xbox user go for this upgrade with confidence!

Disappointed that it did not come with the rear paddles, etc. Especially for the price. There is not that much of a difference in gameplay.

The first thing I noticed is the ruber grips are better designed, it appears they may have fixed the issue that the series 1 controller had with the rubber grips beginning to peel off after a few months. The extra third slot for saving custom controller configurations is nice and the back pedals are now shorter which makes it feel more comfortable in your hand. With the series one controller I always had to take those paddles out if I weren't using them because they would prevent me from gripping the controller the way that felt comfortable for me. The adjustable tensioner for the thumbsticks is nice as well, and the battery does last a decent amount of time before it has to be recharged. The only downside is the fact that the battery pack is built in and cannot be removed. Overall the quality seems to be much better and it has a USB-C charging connector which is better than the old USB-B that the series 1 controller used, which you had to be very careful when connecting the cable; it could only connect one way and made it feel like if you weren't careful you might damage the connector. So far I am very pleased with my purchase.
