Ive been a fan of the elite controlers for a long time and i am always happy with the feel of it and works as it should.

Great controller love the weight. Only thing I don’t like is that sometimes while gaming the sticks will start to unscrew mid gaming. Make sure you keep tight with the tool.

Feels better than other controllers i have used before. I’m super into fighting fames though and the D-Pad is something I’m trying to get used to.

Way better than any other generation. Used all controllers from original Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One S, Xbox One X and Xbox Series X. This one is great!

So I purchased the Elite Series 2 controller, last year when it first came out, I actually swapped it for my original Elite controller (I had gone through a few of those as the rubber on the back came off them easily but that's another story). I was taken aback by the fact that the controller has a built-in battery. This is good in theory but the long term ramification is that eventually, the battery won't hold a charge as long as it once did, and eventually, it won't hold a charge at all. This is problematic since you have no way of swapping the battery out as you could in any other controller. But, the reason I'm writing this review now is that I'm having an issue that so many other people are having, my Series 2 is starting to have button response issues. More specifically the right bumper is barely registering my pressing it and sometimes doesn't seem to acknowledge it at all. I have an extended warranty with Best Buy but they are unable to replace it due to the fact that they don't have anymore. They suggested that I contact Microsoft about replacing the controller, but with a mere 90-day limited warranty, that ensures that by the time most people have issues like mine, they will be well outside of the manufacturer's warranty period. It's a real shame because the controller when it works is pretty good, the weight is satisfying and when everything works it's a very responsive controller. But I can't recommend the controller knowing that it probably won't even make it a full year with standard use.

I like customizing controller and the built quality is solid and nice plus the accessories is well made to fit your hands and your control love the product.

This controller is excellent from the standpoint of functionality, ergonomics, and customizability. It has everything from multiple profiles, customizable triggers, adjustable stick tension, swappable D-Pads, and 2-4 paddles depending on user preference. It's also basically plug and play on PC. Where it falls short is build quality. Despite being quite an expensive controller, it has only a 1 year warranty, which admittedly is up from the 90 days offered on the Elite v1. I have returned 7 of these in the last 4 years - they do not last. Stick drift, sticking triggers, and unresponsive bumpers (typically R1) are the most common issues. I don't think any of them have lasted a full year. They're also the same issues I had on the Elite v1. Given that it's almost a decade since the original Elite was released, I think it's clear the manufacturer isn't willing or able to address the quality control issues. This is underscored by the fact that a bare bones version (the Core) was released without the Series 2 accessories. Presumably this was to offer a lower cost option to people whose controllers had failed, and were out of warranty.

Love the design. Ended up buying this one as my original Xbox elite controller was getting old although nothing wrong with it the new controller is great like that the battery is internal however curious on how long the recharge ability will be in the coming years as opposed to swappable batteries

Worked great for 2 years of constant play . Left joy stick recently got super lose and now I can tighten it . Still works for game play . Overall it’s last longer the other. Controllers I’ve purchased . I plan on purchasing another one .

by far one of the best controllers i've owned. I used to play with the PDP xbox controller with the mappable buttons on the back but stick drift on those are the worst after 2 weeks of using. and custom controllers from online such as scuf are too expensive. For the price I got for these, which was the open box-excellent, it felt brand new still and I got it for a steal with the price plus the discounts I got from my points here at bestbuy. so if you were to upgrade your xbox controller, this is the one to go for!! DID I MENTION, there are 3 different button profiles you can save for different types of games??! wish I got it sooner but glad i made the investment on this, LOVE IT!!!

Battery life is incredible. Improvement over the original in almost every way. Held out as long as I could for a Series 3 because I wanted hall effect thumb sticks. Hopefully stick drift won't be an issue like it was for the first gen.

It’s really good it feels comfortable. I have no issues with it works great. The only problem I had that it doesn’t like work with Bluetooth with my PC but I think I have a bad Bluetooth receiver on my PC so that is not something I have against the controller I plug. It’s a braided wire that comes with it and it works really great. Mind you it is a cheaper version of the elite so it doesn’t come with the back paddle. You have to buy those separately, but I don’t actually use them much so I don’t worry about it.

Instantly you feel the qaulity of this controller! The response on this compared to the regular ones is insane! I noticed just playing NHL22 the response.. Great options as you can have 3 profiles and then the default one. The triggers are awesome! You can customize your sensitivity and comes with a carry case as it should for $180 which is the only CON about this as no controller should cost that.. Now i always wanted this but never wanted to spend the money but the wifey got this as an Xmas gift :) So if you have the money to spend go for it... now probably get the 2 year warranty next week as she didn't buy it but based off my experience on regular controllers might just do so since this is a high end controller...Impressive upgrade from the last one!
