Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the Elite Series 2 Core Wireless Controller's high-quality build, excellent battery life, and comfortable grip. Many appreciate the customization options and the controller's overall feel and weight. However, customers are negative about the prevalence of stick drift issues reported by some users, as well as concerns about the durability of certain buttons and bumpers. The positive feedback on features like customization and feel is frequently offset by negative experiences with controller longevity.

The controller is great, it actually did improve my game! And as a testament to how good the grip is, I accidentally left the controller on the roof of my car. Not knowing I did I drove of went to two different places (gas station and friend’s house), to my surprise it was still there! I couldn’t help but laugh.

couldn't be happier with this item I'm a PC gamer who in rare cases prefer the conformity of a controller over mouse and keyboard.

Stick drift after 3 months of casual use

I love this controller. It feels very nice in hands. The grips are a huge upgrade over the Series 1 controller, and having 3 presets also makes a huge difference. After 3 months of use though, I got major stick drift. Best Buy will not help but Microsoft has a 1 year warranty because of this problem. I'm sending my controller to Microsoft now for free but it will take 2-3 weeks to get a refurbished controller sent back to me. I'm very upset that there are no good controller companies with paddles that aren't the overpriced scuf controllers. It's a bummer that they didn't just put nice joysticks in this very expensive controller. Other than that, it is really great but that is game breaking.

Took a moment to get used to the extra paddles (which are optional) but I can't go back to a regular controller now. Only issue I found is that the rubber grip on the controller will peel off with time. I suggest getting a cover/sleeve for it to prevent or delay that issue from happening.

So when I finally got my hands on the series x I bought a second controller so my son and I could play. The x box controllers are great! This controller is a total game changer. If you play FPS games having those paddles on the back will automatically up your game. This thing feels rock solid! I love that you can set the trigger distance, that was a big plus! Bottom line I would have went straight to this controller! It rocks!

I got 3 different controllers and all of them had a problem where the A button wouldn’t work if you pressed it a certain way. My brother had one where the A button would get stuck in the down position. The updated paddles are better than the old version. I think it’s the best gaming controller out there when it’s working properly.

Controller is solid and overall the best xbox controller out right now. I only use two back buttons. If you’re looking for 4 back buttons, I’d suggest the Scuf Instinct Pro. Would also suggest getting the 2 year warranty from Best Buy because controllers are prone to having sticky buttons and stick drift over time.

Better build quality than the standard controller; heavier with more quality materials. Easy to sync with your Xbox or connect to a PC. Note that it's the Core controller so you need to already have/buy separately the accessories for the back buttons (I didn't realize that but had them on hand from a broken controller before).

Best controller sub $200. While Scuf controllers (among other brands) may have slightly better build quality, the price-to-quality is arguably better in the Elite 2 Controller. All the accessories are very well-built and the paddles are great.
