Unfortunately I’ve only had the controller less than 6 months and the Right Bumper and “A” Button are almost unresponsive. As well as developing stick drift in the left Analog Stick already. Warranty is absolutely necessary for any Elite controller.

Way better then the first generation and if your worried about the battery life it has lasted me a week without charging playing about 3-4 hours a day .

If not for that the controller and case are great.

I returned that, and some time later purchased a new one when they were on sale - the A button is about 95% ok and I'm good with that. I'd recommend the Geek Squad replacement coverage if you're going to invest this much in the controller, as there are plenty of online reviews that state there is some level of poor quality control. Aside from that, it truly is the perfect controller with the customizability, paddles, and (generally) solid construction. Sound purchase for the price.
