Customers are saying
Customers are positive about the Elite Series 2 Core Wireless Controller's high-quality build, excellent battery life, and comfortable grip. Many appreciate the customization options and the controller's overall feel and weight. However, customers are negative about the prevalence of stick drift issues reported by some users, as well as concerns about the durability of certain buttons and bumpers. The positive feedback on features like customization and feel is frequently offset by negative experiences with controller longevity.

Disappointing
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Buy at your own risk. I bought this controller a year ago. The first one I got had an inconsistent A button. I returned it for a replacement to Best Buy. The replacement had the same issue. I mapped the A button to another button and was able to deal with it for a while. I sent it back to MS for repair. They had it for 2 weeks when it came back, same issue. Then it started to just turn off in the middle of a game. This happens at least once a week now even when the controller has a full battery. This would be a great controller if it wasn't so unreliable. I will say when the controller works it is great. Best controller I've ever used, unfortunately it doesn't always work.

Not worth it
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased one controller and had major stick drift right out of the box. Returned and exchanged 1 week later and still had and am having stick drift issues. Controller feels great in hand but for $200 should not be havibg any issues.

Best Xbox Controller / Questionable reliability
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's awesome, but do yourself a favor & get some kind of extended warranty. Tends to wear out quickly. I've replaced a couple over the past 2 yrs.

Extremely defective
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was really hyped when this controller was announced @ E3. I couldn’t wait to upgrade from my gen 1 Elite controller. Maybe I should of waited longer... This controller has got to be the most expensive junk I have ever used. If you are a competitive gamer I.e. play PRO AM or above this thing could cost you everything. Don’t be fooled by the 5 star reviews, No disrespect but a lot of the reviews for this are from average to medicore gamers, Impressed by Battery life. Let’s start with the fact that the sticks had terrible drift right out the box. Number 2. If you play competitive chances are you want your button presses to register, NOPE!! It’s literally a 50/50 you get button registry. Number 3 isn’t that big but the internal battery can’t be removed. It’s gotten to the point now, I play with my Gen 1 or my Scuff for reliability. Really hoping they fix this thing the potential was really there. It’s feels really good in your hand and trigger pulls feel nice but, hey at least you can play wireless for 3 days without a charge. *Microsoft Priorities smh.
