Customers are saying
Customers are positive about the Elite Series 2 Core Wireless Controller's high-quality build, excellent battery life, and comfortable grip. Many appreciate the customization options and the controller's overall feel and weight. However, customers are negative about the prevalence of stick drift issues reported by some users, as well as concerns about the durability of certain buttons and bumpers. I like it a lot, but boy, is it expensive!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really dig this controller and look forward to the inevitable Elite 3 which will (hopefully) borrow a bit more of the things I like about the Series SX controller. In the meantime, this will be just fine. It's expensive, so I do recommend trying to catch it on a sale. The build quality feels excellent, and I'm generally happy with the level of customization it allows me on PC. I primarily use this for FPS games (Apex Legends, at the moment). If you're feeling limited by what your standard controller or gamepad lets you do (especially as far as movement goes), this might help. There's a learning curve, and you'll probably spend a few days figuring out how to map your buttons with another week adjusting to using paddles, but once you get it, you can expect to feel as comfortable with it as you would any other gamepad. I really like the magnetic attachments, the trigger stops, the "Shift" options that let me program buttons do more than a single function, and the overall feel of it. The d-pad is a bit more squishy than I'd like, and I do prefer the feel of the SX d-pad to this one. It's fine, though, and you don't really use it much for FPS games, anyway. I've heard complaints about stick drift, but I think that's an eventuality with all modern controllers, regardless of brand. I typically do a full rotation with each stick before I start playing, and that tends to "reset" them, so stick drift isn't really a problem for me, especially in games with deadzone settings. That said, I've only had this a few weeks. I do have an extended warranty, just in case, so time will tell. If you think this might be for you and aren't completely turned off by the price, I'd recommend it. If you can't think of a reason you'd want it or would ever want to pay that much for a controller, skip it. Beyond FPS games, I could see this as being super cool for racing games and maybe a few other genres. Also, if you're using it for PC, get the dongle (I think it runs about $20-30). I already had one, and it works really well.

Great Value controller for Xbox and PC
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller serves me well for gaming sessions. I’ve never had any issues with battery life, and the hand feel is second to none. My only complaint is that paddles and other thumb sticks are sold separately, but other than that this controller hits above its price point.

Best controller by far
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying I LOVE this controller. The customization, the easy charging, and being able to set the tension on the joysticks is second to none. I’ve tried all the other third party controllers that are similar to this one, and none are quite as good as this. With that being said, it isn’t without issues. The first one that I bought would randomly disconnect whether it was wireless or whether it was wired. As far as the wireless disconnects go I found out that my router was on the same frequency channels and then with the controller uses so when it would frequency hop it would kick the controller off those channels. If you research what channel the controller uses then you can set your router to use a subset of channels that are higher than it and you won’t have the issue, but it took a while for me to figure that out. Hopefully that helps someone reading if you have that problem at home. As far as it disconnecting even though it was wired to the consul I’m not sure why that was happening, but I will say it’s not happening with the second one I have now. The other issue I had was stick drift and button failure. My left bumper started not working as well and was really intermittent, and both of my six developed drift. Luckily I bought the warranty and I was able to get it replaced with a brand new one but that was in process by itself that took months. Finally one came in stock because they were never in stock because everyone is replacing them constantly, that I was able to order pay for and then Best Buy reimburse me after going through a couple of management levels although I was preapproved previously by support. Buy the replacement warranty. If you can put up with a few flaws that it has, bottom line is it is the best one you can buy and don’t hesitate to purchase.

It's an ok control for light use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Always love these controllers sadly this is my third one over time the left thumb stick seems to never recenter completely it's not that noticeable until you're playing a game that requires precision and this is also the second controller where the right bumper also messed up and sometimes doesn't work.

Great Controller
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do not use it enough to justify buying it but it is a great controller. Customizing the length of pull on the triggers is nice and the paddles on the back are great as well. Comes with a lot of ways to adjust the controller to fit your hand the way you want it. Bottom 2 paddles get in the way of my hands sometimes so I do not use those for the most part.
