Customers are saying
Customers are positive about the Elite Series 2 Core Wireless Controller's high-quality build, excellent battery life, and comfortable grip. Many appreciate the customization options and the controller's overall feel and weight. However, customers are negative about the prevalence of stick drift issues reported by some users, as well as concerns about the durability of certain buttons and bumpers. The positive feedback on features like customization and feel is frequently offset by negative experiences with controller longevity.

The best controler ive ever used
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the feel and adjusability the customazation for button maping is super helpfull for those games you cant get the settinvs you whant and makes every game playable my only issue is that it has a tendency to divelop stick drift after a while but you can increase the dead zone in the settings to counter act that

Awesome Competitive Controller
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I traded my old Elite Series 2 (RB, back paddles, and B button would get stuck occasionally) for a new Elite Series 2 controller they had at the Best Buy store, and oh boy was the new one better. Now, the buttons and everything function as intended. Onto the specs. The controller is heavy, but I do not mind the weight and it is comfortable. I like the four back paddles as I do not have to remove my thumbs away from the thumbsticks to press the buttons that are on the front of the controller. This is a game-changer for me because you will have a faster response time than other players who own a regular controller and do not own back paddles. Overall, this controller is worth the price if you want a competitive edge and desire everything that is included with this version of the controller. Just be aware that it might be a defective one.

Had no idea what I was missing out on.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic controller! Been eyeing this one for a while now, and decided that while I'm waiting for the Series X to get back in stock I'd finally treat myself to the controller. I haven't weighed the controller, but I'd estimate it's maybe 40-50% heavier than a standard controller, which is nice to me. The finish looks better than the standard controller and is more "stealth" matte in appearance, and the rubberized grips really do form a subtle grip to my hands within a few minutes (my hands don't sweat during gaming sessions, your mileage may vary). I removed the two lower paddles for the time being and have the two upper paddles set for "sprint" and "reload/interact" in the first profile. It's nice to not take my thumb off of the right stick to tap X to reload. I haven't experimented with the other stick options yet, but I did put the normal D-pad selector on (they're magnetic, so simply pop one off and put the other on). The round D-pad just didn't feel natural, and in both cases the D-pad click is much more definitive and audible than a standard controller...it's the only nitpick I have, but I can live with it. My box does have a FST-00001 label on it, but the manufacturing date puts it in the early part of October 2020. I don't know if Microsoft just gave up on the FST-00008 labels or not, and the Best Buy guys I posed the question to didn't know what I was talking about. They were surprised when I pointed out the model number on the shelf tag didn't match the one on the box. I haven't perceived any of the quality issues that plagued the earlier controller models (no stick drift, bumper feel solid, all LEDs work), so hopefully all will be well. All in all, I like it. I've only been using it for a couple of weeks or so, and when I pick up a plain old regular controller, my middle fingers instinctively look for the paddles, and only then do I realize how accustomed I am to the controller already.

Its good but has flaws
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Owned two now i love the premium feel but at the same time its made cheap my first one got stick drift (when will these multi billion dollar companies start using hall effect) within 3 months and my right bumper stopped working and had cracks all over i think from gripping it to hard as for the one i got from bestbuy its still holding up 7 months later maybe i got unlucky with my first even if they are made cheaply they still have nice features the battery life is very good and the paddles are aswell (i bought some off amazon for cheap) you can re map buttons etc i personally can not go back to a basic controller they feel extra cheap in comparison i recommend the elite core but only on a sale with a warranty

Good, but...
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good controller, but little expensive considering it doesn't come with the extra buttons it's specificity designed for. You have to buy the case that comes with the extra sticks and buttons. Some metal parts instead of plastic. Works well and feels solid.

Premium controller
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only controller you will ever need. I use this for the Xbox and Steam on my PC. And you definitely get what you pay for. Premium construction, the controllers wear and tear are minimal even after about an year of purchase and moderate gaming use.

Stick Drift Quality Control Nightmare
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Exchanged for a total of 3 times, first one the select button intermittently worked, other 2 had stick drift right out of the box and 2 days into using it...finally exchanged the 4th time for a black elite (the more expensive one) and now this one has stick drift after 4 days of usage...i cannot understand WHY Xbox has such poor quality control and products for as much as they cost! Absolutely ridiculous. Other than these issues the controllers feel great, have a good weight to them, and are very user friendly...but i cannot overlook the blatant issues!

Great controller, but insurance is necessary.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality of the gamepad is unbeatable. So unbeatable that I’ve opted to replace 3 different ones now (buying the insurance each time) because the button receivers on these eventually go bad. My first one lasted me around 8 months before the RB receiver went bad and started failing intermittently. Second one lasted me about 8 months before a faulty LB receiver went bad and it had to be replaced. My third one lasted around 6 months before the left stick button’s receiver went bad and had to be replaced. Overall - awesome controller and I refuse to use any other game pad… just make sure you buy the insurance. Hopefully a series 3 will bring receivers that last the long haul a bit better.

Great Product, Highly Recommend
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this controller. This is my second one, it would receive 5 stars, but with frequent use over a couple years the wear and tear is extreme, needing to replace it. So great product, just be prepared to replace it if you are a heavy gamer. Highly recommend regardless.

Great but they do wear out.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you like the classic feel of Xbox controllers with an upgraded feel, then the Elite 2 is for you. Though the warranty plan is recommended as most times these do start wearing out.

Almost perfect
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like how heavy it feels, the grips are nice but quickly start losing their friction abilities after a few uses. The only other problem in have is the size of tge controller. It might just be me but it just needs to be bigger i feel like.
