The replacement option was the plain xbox controller and once you play with an Elite it is hard to turn back.

Almost a necessity

So i advise being careful, because the joystick can be prone to drifting. Other than that it feels wonderful in the hands. It gives an extra level of precision and feedback. That once you've gotten used to it there is no going back.

Excellent controller, low durability.

Switched from buying direct ( this is my 6th controller) to Best Buy as RB inevitably fails and Best Buy protection plan is the best.
