Great Until It's Not

Honestly, this controller was great when it was working. I've gone through a few of these and it's either the bumpers give out or the face buttons stop responding. Unless you absolutely need the paddles, I would avoid purchasing this and get a standard controller instead.

The materials are much nicer than the standard. The triggers and buttons have a much more better feel. The extra configurability Menu is a great plus as well.

Good when it works... but now a paperweight

The first 6 months this controller is awesome... then it just breaks down, from buttons that stop working, the thumbsticks drifting and it looses connection regularly even with a full charge. Multiple resets and keeping updates on this controller, still have issues. I have the besbuy extended warranty and was told the only thing I could do is to wait. Either wait with a gift card or just hit the buy button when the unit is back online. Why not I turn it in and get my name in line like we do with our customers at the place where I work. Bestbuy is dying business model because they stopped caring for any member.... Ugh... so frustrated.

I recommend insurance on this product for easy exchange. Use the hell out if this remote. If you don’t and don’t have insurance you make see issues down the road and it may have issues when it’s out of manufacture warranty. I believe Microsoft recently increased the duration of their warranty but sending things to them and getting them back can take a month

The back paddles are by far the best ergonomically and the added charging dock is a nice addition over the original as well as the added trigger step and new color scheme. I literally can't go back to regular controllers anymore.
