I was wrong. From the extensive research I did about this, not many people were looking at “lot numbers” to see which ones were faulty and which weren’t. I ordered this about 2 weeks ago and from what I found, it was the newest lot number, #2011. So I thought I’d have a good chance at a solid one. Nope. Literally 1 week in, the joystick was drifting . And because these are so out of stock so often, Best Buy couldn’t swap mine out so I’m forced to either play with a broken one or return it altogether and wait weeks or even longer to get a new one and HOPE it’s not the same lot number. This is kind of ridiculous. I even bought the 2 year warranty on it because I was gonna be “okay” with the chance it breaks after 6 months when both Microsoft and Best Buy standard exchanges would be done. One week people... one. And I’m not the only one , 1000s of people are getting this within 30days. I don’t understand it. I have been a Xbox and Microsoft fan since 2005. I’m gonna hold out and see but I’m honestly thinking of switching over to Sony and the PS5 if this keeps up. I know I won’t be the only one in that dilemma either.

Don’t waste your money

Controller makes a great first impression, feels nice in your hands, lots of nice features but after the first 2 weeks it’s all down hill. Durability is a definite issue with this, whether it be the double click, stick drift out the box, hand grips starting to come off, unresponsive buttons, you name it. Returned this thing immediately, worst controller i’ve ever owned.
