You might have problems, but it's worth it.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The controller is great when it works. A lot of people eventually have problems and need to warranty it. I've gone through 4 or 5. Stick drift, stuck buttons, unresponsive bumpers. Still would buy it again, built in battery and the overall experience is unmatched compared to the regular controller.

Poor quality materials, will not last
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned this controller for 3 years give or take. I have never thrown or dropped this controller. I have always kept it in its case, on my desk. It has never traveled or been taken anywhere. It has never had a single drop of liquids touch it. I had to have it replaced twice due to manufacturer defects. I have babied this thing, because I have cancer and cannot work, I cannot afford the astronomical price to replace it. But after hearing the rattle of something small moving around inside the controller for a few weeks, I decided to open it up today. What I found should be an absolute embarrassment for Microsoft. Upon further inspection, it became obvious to me that the plastic that is used to make this controller was deteriorating on its own. The grips were peeling off, several chunks of thin flimsy plastic had somehow broken off on their own on the interior of the controller. Again, this controller has never, not once, absorbed any kind of shock. There has not been a single event or instance that could have caused even a single piece of the controller to break. Yet somehow, there are several broken off pieces and parts. The only conclusion I can come to is that Microsoft uses extremely cheap materials to make them. And for a $200 controller, that is shameful. And with the warranty only being a year, its pretty clear that Microsoft is 100% aware that this controller will not last. And now here I am, clearly a fool for trusting Microsoft to make a quality, top of the line controller. What a huge letdown. When it works correctly, I loved it. But between stick drift and constant bumper issues, along with the very cheap materials used, I cannot recommend this in good conscience. I have a 3rd party Xbox One controller that has seen at least double the use, been dropped, thrown, tossed, had soda, water, coffee, etc. spilled on it (it is used by my kids), and is also 2 years older, that works flawlessly still to this day and cost 1/5 of the price. I feel a bit scammed. This controller has so much potential, if only Microsoft put some care and quality craftmanship into the manufacturing process. Instead, they are trying to fool us into having to buy a new one every year or 2.

Xbox elite series 2
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely love the upgrades that this controller has verses the older series 1 elite controller. The battery life is amazing, and it seems to have great durability. The only issue is that the corners of the rubber grips start to peel slightly after 2-3 months of heavy use.

Be sure to get Geek Squad protection!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great feeling controller. The functionality on the controller itself and also what you can do in the Xbox accessories app is nice. But if you play a lot, especially games like Fortnite that are demanding on the bumpers, they will fail in about 8 months. I've ran through 3 of these in about 16 months. ALWAYS get Geek Squad protection on these.

Great Controller
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very good controller. It took my gaming to a new level. It has a switch on the underside that shortens or lengthens the pull of the triggers. A really great feature. You also have the option to change thumbsticks that come with varying lengths and shapes. And it’s done magnetically. It also has 4 paddles underneath the controller that can be mapped for different functions...I found this too advanced for me. And perhaps the best feature feature is the way it feels in your hands, it’s much more comfortable than the one that comes with the Xbox.

Great quality but a bit overpriced
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great grip and just has an overall nice feel to it. Doesn’t take batteries and comes with a charger and charging dock along with case and multiple options for analog sticks and dpad. Paddles on the back do take some getting used to and I started with only 2 but after some play time with them there’s no way you could go back to a regular controller which in a way is good and bad. If you’re looking for a way to help improve your game and have one of the hottest controllers on the market this if for you.

FPS main controller now
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Controller is very high quality, all buttons and triggers function as they should. The magnetic change of sticks and D pad is a nice touch that feels secure and I have yet to have one come loose mid play. Case is nice quality and the ability to charge while inside is a nice feature. Price is higher than I would prefer but for a nice controller I can see the justification. Features are perfect for FPS titles but have yet to see a need on other games. If you mainly play FPS and want a quality controller I would recommend this.

Nice High End Controller but is it worth the Price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Elite Series 2 is a really nice high end controller. The Customization of buttons is super nice for series gamers while the build quality and general in hand feel are far better than the standard Xbox Controller. Also really love that it comes with it's own charging dock. But is it worth the retail price? In my opinion, No. Look for it on sale for around $139. I feel like that price is a little more in line with where it should be.

Huge improvement over previous Elite controller
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best controller on the market. Buttons are extremely responsive. Trigger pulls now have two settings to shorten the pull resulting in quicker shots fired in first person shooters. Power button is a shorter push to turn on and off. It just feels like a high end controller. My old one has a thumb stick that would drift upwards when not in use, other buttons felt like you had to mash down on. This is more responsive, more clicky if that makes sense. If you owned the previous Elite you’ll love this even more. Carrying case allows you to charge while in case. Battery life doubled. This is a 10/10.
