It's An Elite to The Online Players
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The controller is comfortable compared to its general counterpart. The grip to hold the controller feels out of this world and helps with never having to worry about dropping the controller mid game. The addition to add or remove the control pad is great plus when I feel the need to play a certain game to my desire. Most of the time when I do add the feature of the control pad to have more use for directional adjustments is for when I play all my fighting games, making that much more enjoyable for me. The battery life is outstanding as well as I had not much of a need to constantly charge it time after time. I just wish the buttons were a bit better as they feel as they would break for those who can be quite competitive in video games.

Get the two year Geek Squad Warranty…
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve already gone through three of these. The way they feel and function are great and I prefer them over the SCUF controllers and they’re of course way better than the standard Xbox controllers. Hence why I still keep getting them despite their build quality issues. The bumpers go out within a year each time and the sticks get stick drift pretty quick. For example- I’m a moderate gamer, I work two jobs so I only play an hour or two a night- if that- and within 8 months a brand new Elite I bought had already gotten stick drift in both sticks bad. You get a one-year manufacturer warranty but you have to send the controller in and wait weeks for them to send it back. I made that mistake on the first controller I bought. It had broken bumpers on both sides- and they ended up sending me back a controller with fixed bumpers but with loose plastic rattling around inside (Microsoft/Xbox not Best Buy’s fault). So I decided to get the two year geek squad warranty after that on the next one I bought. Returned my most recent one after getting that stick drift within 10 months and immediately got my new controller from them, no sending back to Xbox, just had to pay for another two year warranty. I’ll likely have to get another one within a year or two. If Microsoft/Xbox could just beef up the quality on their bumpers and fix the dang stick drift it’d be a 5-star controller for sure.

Best Controller ever
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from my original elite controller to this one mainly because the grips on them were starting to fall apart. This controller is a bit heavier which in turn makes it feel nicer in your hands. This time around you won’t need a rechargeable battery pack as it’s all built into the controller and comes with a charging dock to lay on when not in use. My only concern with the controller is the fact that instead of having rubber grips on just the back side of the lower left/right controller like the previous model, it now has that rubberized grip texture on the front and the back. Although it feels great, I wonder how durable it will be. Hopefully they don’t start falling apart like the previous generation model. You may ask, is the controller worth it? If you’ll actually use it’s functions, swap out thumb sticks and would like full customization such as button mapping through the Xbox accessory app then I’d say, absolutely. I personally enjoy the feel, the trigger locks and customization options. I remapped my “Y” button to one of the four paddle triggers behind the controller which is super beneficial when playing certain games. My thumb can stay on a certain button on the front (X for example) while I can use another finger to control the paddle in the rear which I re-mapped to my “Y” button at the same time. You can also adjust tension to your thumb sticks which is a welcome addition as well. Overall, great product so far and definitely enjoy using it more than the standard controller. I highly recommend! Now, it’s up to you. Will you decide to get your hands on one of these?

Believe The Hype...Good & Bad
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're looking to up your game, this controller is for you...but make sure to get extended warranty, or if you're a TotalTech member you're covered. This is my 2nd one, because the good outweighs the bad. OK, the good - it's comfortable, nice weight, very customizable, back paddles easy to use and reach, it's wireless, long lasting battery and great case that can charge, and braided cable the not so good - on my first Elite II the rubberized grips began to unpeel after less than a year, but worse than that, after about 1 1/2 years the RB button began to not work that being said, after about 6 months of not using it, I shopped around for a replacement, the closest competitor was the Thrustmaster Eswap, but it's a wired controller and has 2 buttons on the backside instead of paddles and that tipped the balance in favor of the Elite II I especially recommend this if you are a TotalTech member, you can get it for $159 and if you have any reward points you can get this for close to $120

3 out of 5 stars – Great features, but durability
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Elite Series 2 controller has some fantastic customization options—adjustable tension thumbsticks, swappable components, and a built-in rechargeable battery that lasts quite a while. The grip feels premium, and the paddles can really improve gameplay once you get used to them. However, for a controller in this price range, the long-term build quality is questionable. After just a few months of regular use, I started experiencing stick drift and issues with the bumpers. It's frustrating considering how much it costs. Microsoft nailed the design and features, but they really need to improve the reliability for it to be worth the premium price.

Premium Quality, Built to Last
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the Microsoft Elite Series 2 Core Wireless Controller after reading numerous positive reviews, and I am highly impressed with the quality right out of the box. The controller has an excellent, premium feel and a distinctly high-quality build. It immediately feels like an upgrade designed for serious gaming. The adjustable thumbstick tension and customizable button mapping make this a game-changer, allowing me to fine-tune the controller to my strengths and playstyle. This level of personalization is fantastic for improving performance and enjoying winning streaks. A significant benefit of uninterrupted gameplay is the convenience of unlimited gaming: you can keep the charger attached while you play, allowing for non-stop enjoyment. While I acknowledge that no product is perfect and have seen some negative feedback, I believe issues often come down to usage. For serious gamers who handle their gear with intense gripping, quick frustration, or high-intensity demands, any controller will eventually face stress. Fortunately, for players who maintain a calm, consistent, and careful approach to their hardware, this controller's robust, adjustable design will undoubtedly last and greatly enhance their gaming experience. This product is a high-value investment for those seeking precision and quality.

The controller that likes being manhandled
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If a regular Xbox controller is a trusty sedan, the Elite Series 2 is a fully loaded sports car with heated seats, adaptive suspension, and a smug sense of superiority. From the moment you pick it up, it whispers, “You deserve better.” The rubberized grips feel like they were designed by a team of ergonomic wizards who moonlight as hand therapists. The swappable thumbsticks and paddles? Pure modular joy — like LEGO for grown-up gamers with commitment issues. Battery life clocks in at a ridiculous 40 hours, which is either a blessing or a subtle challenge to your sleep schedule. And the adjustable tension sticks? Let’s just say they’re the closest thing to analog therapy. Yes, it’s pricey. But so is sushi-grade tuna, and you don’t see anyone regretting that.

Great remote
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Xbox Elite Series 2 controller is easily the best controller I have ever used. From the moment you pick it up, the build quality feels premium and solid. The grips are comfortable for long gaming sessions, and the controller has a weight that makes it feel durable without being tiring. The adjustable thumbsticks and trigger stops are a game changer. Being able to fine tune sensitivity and response gives a real competitive advantage, especially in shooters and sports games. The back paddles are incredibly useful once you get used to them, allowing quicker reactions without taking your thumbs off the sticks. Battery life is excellent. I can go multiple gaming sessions without needing to recharge, and the charging dock makes it easy to keep the controller ready to go. The customization options through the Xbox Accessories app are deep and easy to use, letting you save multiple profiles for different games. Overall, this controller is worth the investment for anyone who takes gaming seriously or just wants a higher quality experience. It feels like a true upgrade over standard controllers and delivers comfort, performance, and reliability. Highly recommended.

Pricey, but good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really happy with this controller so far! The feel is solid — nice grips, good weight, and it just works. I love being able to tweak sticks and triggers, and the rechargeable battery lasts me through long sessions. Setup was easy via USB-C or Bluetooth, and it’s great on both Xbox and PC. Only minor thing: it’s a bit pricey, and if you’re after paddles or extras you’ll need to spend more. Overall though, well worth it if you’re serious about your game.

Good Weight, minimal issues.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Weight feels premium, I love the rubber on the hand grips. The adjustable triggers are great for Call of Duty and other FPS shooters. The small metal details all over really make it feel like an upgrade over the standard. The built in rechargeable battery and USB - C charging are great and the battery life is long. The only issue I had was that the X button was sticking slightly when I first received the controller however that issue resolved itself and the controller has been great since.

This Controller is Worth the Price of $179.99
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you like the ability to customize your controller with different analog stick options, interchangeable D-pads, four additional buttons, and being able to tweak both the triggers and the analog sticks then this is the controller for you. Even with the pretty high price tag, this is a good controller thanks to its customization, rubber grips, and not have to deal with batteries anymore. Plus it comes with a carrying case that can also charge the controller as well in addition to holding all the left over accessories. This controller for sure feels premium thanks especially to how it’s made. The bumpers, triggers, D-pad, and the analog sticks are made of metal which gives it a heavier feel in comparison to your average Xbox controller if you like having more weight in your controller. Looking past the price point, this controller cones highly recommended to hardcore Xbox gamers and for those who love customization.

I like it but..
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the controller, it feels great, responsive, heavy in my hands the grip on the handles is nice. BUT, and this is on me, I didnt realize it didnt come with all the add ons to make an elite controller, that would be sold separately ($30 i think) so not terrible. Also, the select button is hard to press to get to menus in game. I usually have to hit it twice to get it to register.

Expensive, but great controller
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A little pricey, but if you can afford it, I would recommend it. It has a nice grip, feels weighty, and you can swap out pieces easily. The removable pieces are magnetic. No fear of accidentally breaking the plastic. Nothing about the controller feels cheap. It's strong and durable. It is equipped with a rechargeable battery, and the life of the battery lasts a long time. This controller comes with its own case which makes for great storage. A great controller if you are a serious gamer.

Great but not perfect
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have mixed reviews with this though overall positive. From a gaming standpoint: fantastic controller. It feels great to use, really good grip, I love the paddles on the back and the customization. I like that you get extras to make it more customized and things can be easily swapped out. I have an issue with the quality control. I had to return my first one because I got stick drift. My second one also has a very slight stick drift. It doesn’t bother me much so I might keep this one vs swapping it out again. The first one never had issues pairing Bluetooth once turned on. The second one tends to not always connect and I have to re-pair through Bluetooth, a little inconvenient. For the price, I would expect it to be perfect.

By far best controller out!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the original Xbox elite controller and absolutely loved it. Still not a single issue with it besides the grips starting to peel but that’s after a couple years. The new elite series 2 feels so good in the hands and the fact that the battery is built in makes it even better. All the options of fine tuning to you’re liking is incredible for whatever games you play. I don’t have full use of my right hand in my pinky and ring finger so a controller like this with the paddles on the back make it easier for multitasking while gaming.

Great Deal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the black Elite Series 2 Core Wireless Controller for at least 3 years when the left bumper slowly stopped working. After researching online, there did not seem to be an easy fix. I loved the feel of the controller as well as how it handled and the myriad of fine tune adjustment sone can make compared to the regular wireless controller. I also loved how well it fit in my hands and comfortable it feel in addition to responsiveness. I kept an eye on a new controller with BB, as I am a BB Total member and I try to make any electronics purchase through BB for the added protection. I grabbed this controller at the incredible price of $109.99 new, and the avg. sale price was $124.99. I had $15 in certificates as well to use, so extra great deal. Ordered online and ready within an hour. Enjoying playing Xbox games again! I appreciate the deals with BB!

Best Controller on the Market
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best controller for gaming. I use this primarily on PC, not on the Xbox. Sony's cheap uncomfortable design is just lackluster for gaming for extended hours and causes your hand to cramp up, which can be painful. The regular Xbox Controller is ok and comfortable, But this Elite Series 2 is amazing as its even more comfortable and just feels amazing in every aspect. From the smooth upgraded joysticks, to the rubberized grip on the handles. Most of the parts can be swapped out as well which is a huge plus if you are as aggressive a gamer as I am. I'd recommend this over any controller on the market. Definitely worth the extra cost.
