Good controller but joysticks may click
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller feels great and can be customized in many different ways with the kit it comes with. However, I returned this item 4 times because the joysticks did not feel smooth, especially the left one, and clicked every time i would move it in a different direction. The one i'm left with still seemed to have that issue every once in a while though it seems to have reduced over time.

I’m not having a good time
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller feels great in the hand, has excellent features (hair triggers and custom profiles) and excellent accessories but has one massive dealbreaker. It won’t register 1 out of every 5-10 button presses. Initially I thought it was my fault. “Maybe I’m still acclimating to the new controller and not pressing the button properly”. I know that’s a stupid thought but when you buy a $100+ controller, surely that can’t be the source of the problem. Well, it is. Google it. You’ll see it’s widespread and there’s no fix. Microsoft support will tell you to update the controller firmware. That’s nice but never once had that made the problem less noticeable. If you bought directly from the Microsoft store you’ll be able to send it back to them for a warranty replacement. That’s good I guess.. but should there really be so many forum posts about replacing $100 peripheral? Ok, so how bad is a few missed key presses? Do you play shooters? Imagine doing everything right and taking your time to set up an ambush only to get wrecked because your controller literally said “ lol what?” My recommendation, skip this altogether and spend money on a ps4 or xb1 controller and use them with the usb cable. They’re lightweight, familiar in the hand and they’ll listen to you.

Elite Series 2 Core Wireless Controller
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Disappointed that it did not come with the rear paddles, etc. Especially for the price. There is not that much of a difference in gameplay.

Three in one day...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Elite Series 1 started to drift heavily, so I decided it was time for an upgrade. Ordered one of these online from Best Buy's site as I couldn't find one near me. Waited for the controller to be shipped, and I got caught up on a lot of the issues surrounding these controllers. To date, I've had multiple Xbox One controllers along with three Elite controllers. I've had a lot of issues with stick drift with the XOne controllers. As for the Elite controllers, I sold my first one that had a loose left stick I was able to fix. The second one was faulty out of the box, and the third had stick drift. I received the Elite 2 on Friday. Tested the controller and played with it a bit. The A button was not registering and would occasionally stick. Returned it today (Saturday). Came home and tested it. Looked fine, but it wasn't a thorough test. Found out while I was playing Apex that the A button wouldn't register if I pressed it in quick succession. Returned that and got my third Elite 2. Came home and tested it -- A button is not working. There's a dead spot if I press the button from the left side. I didn't think I'd go through three controllers in one day, but it looks like I'll be returning this one in the morning and playing with one of my Xbox One controllers in the meantime. I had hoped to be one of the "many" who didn't experience the vast number of issues with these controllers, but I guess I'm one of the "few."
