Great quality headset, awesome 3D sound plus good mic

i am satisfied with this headset, and it does come with the headset adapter which adds value. however, there are third party options out there that would certainly provide higher quality, though you would have to buy the headset adapter separately

love the fact theres no battery no charging works great with my kindel fire even works with my phone you wont find a better head set in this price range

Bought these because I was trying to use the headphone adapter with My apple ear buds... (another whole story in its own) decided that i would buy a pair of these.... To the defense of the head set... when I bought them MS had not released the update that Would later fix the clipping sounds.. once that was done.. the sound was clear so to speak.. but it sounded like a cheap pair of heads phone that MS made to Compete with turtle beaches and So on... Makes your ears Sweat and is WAY too big... Feels like your wearing a helmet. I returned the set Only after 1 day The best Combo I have found is the Head phone adapter with a nice pair of Ear buds made from Sony. Sounds great! and doesn't look weird or weigh a million pounds on your head. keep in mind... how long you game... is how long you will have these things on... so if you game for hours... your going to have this HUGE thing on your head and ears all that time... if you must have these type of Ear phones.. then save the money and spend another 50 bucks and get the turtle Beaches.. at least them things seem proven

Bought these the day after Christmas because my turtle beach headset which I had for 5 years finally broke. These reviews make this headset seem amazing. Well, its not. Coming from a very good quality headset prior to purchasing this one, these are terrible. Sound was decent at best, they were comfortae for about the first 20 minutes. The mic placement was terrible, was literally on the side of my cheek. I was talking and my friends and they said I was extremely quiet even though I was talking loud. FORK OUT THE EXTRA MONEY TO GET A TURTLE BEACH HEADSET. I returned these a day later and got the turtle beach X04. Much better quality headset, and definitely worth the money. Although these would be good if you were buying your first "gaming headset". 6 months later you would probably buy another anyways.

I am very pleased with this purchase. Great product overall. It works as good as the more expensive brands.

able to block out sound and just play game.nice when playing at night so family can sleep without hearing game.

These headphones are great and helped me since I'm using a monitor with no audio output!

bad connection to the controller; either the male end went bad or the wires internally. the actual plug-in on the controller is fine, have used other headset with it.

Received a pair for a Christmas gift. There are three major issues with this product: 1.) The plug is straight. When you are playing, it is incredibly easy to hit the plug and possibly damage the adapter and plug itself. 2.) B/c of #1, the cable at the plug connection is under constant strain. This has caused my unit to malfunction in the right ear. 3.) The ear piece covers have become undone; and I am not a heavy user nor reckless with their use or storage. I would recommend you invest in something a bit higher priced for better quality.

It's a good headset for my boys but the microphone stopped working in 2 months. There is no warranty and I didn't buy extended warranty so I have get a new one. Very disappointed!

DIDN'T EVEN LAST 6 MONTHS!! This product was purchased as a Christmas gift and by June it would no longer allow you to speak into it. I contacted Microsoft and after an over the top lengthy process they told me there was nothing they could do for me and that I had I could paid to have it sent to the shop and repaired (you know like a car) or I had to purchase a new one. Spend the extra money, buy a gamer headset, or at least purchase one from a company that will stand behind it. I believe dollar stores have a better return policy than Microsoft. A can of soup lasts longer than this headset.

I've purchased two of these mics thinking I wasn't talking care of it but even though leaving it in perfect condition the mic just stopped working. It will for a few months but that's it

My son has had these for 4 months and the mic stopped working. Unfortunately Microsoft only provides a 90 day warranty so we are out of luck. After doing some research this seems to be a common problem. I suppose that's why they are no longer available!

They are very bad quality! I had these for one month! They would give really bad feedback with static! It don’t understand you like over $40 on headsets n they go bad within 30 days!

We haven't had this but about 2 months and they are already torn up. My 9 year old is so disappointed!

After 3 weeks of use, they cut in and out uncontrollably.
