That controller developed really bad drift. This isn't much better. After a month or so of light use ( a few hours a week) it also started to drift. Software updates didn't fix the issue. I took apart the old one to clean it and it fixed the drift issue for a little bit. I'll probably do that with this as well. For now I'm using my old Xbox One controller. It's old, and is missing the extra button, but it has never had drift issues.

This item was easy to order and pickup same day so it would be under the tree in the morning. My son wasted no time testing it out and said “it’s perfect!”

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feedback about your new Xbox wireless controller. Since it uses two AA batteries and is not rechargeable on its own, a cable is not included. For a wired connection, it is compatible with any standard USB-C to USB-A cable. Or, to make it rechargeable, we recommend investing in a Xbox Rechargeable Battery and USB-C Cable for Xbox Series X/S. We hope you have a lot of fun with it.
