I’m also not quite sure how Microsoft or anyone else could top this. It is pure perfection in your hands. The price is absolutely worth it in my opinion.

This will never be used, so I can only speak to the quality of the black unit that came with my Series X. Feels great in the hand. More solid than a Gen 1 X1 controller for sure. The share button is a great addition.
