I have a problem getting the guild to go to certain channels. For example BBC America, when I voice command it I get BET instead. I now use the media controller to change channels, Also I don't have to say volume up over and over, just press the volume up till it sounds right.

If you're like me and use your Xbox a lot for watching movies on Netflix, Hulu, etc. then you need this remote! It helps to have a remote that is always on unlike the controller which shuts off after a period of time to conserve battery. It also lights up automatically with movement so you can see the buttons in the dark.

Wow, such a Hard Accessory to find. But when they become more Available, This should Continue to Sell Well for Microsoft. Right when You open put in the batteries(2AAA Duracell) and it was ready to use! :) Pointed at console and turned it on. So No Annoying Sync, or setup. Very nice! And the feel of the Remote is Nice, not cheap. And it Browses VERY WELL! Everything, from the Dashboard, to Netflix, Volume, Channel Control, etc. Only little things bug me, like the Batteries Xbox should've had a input for Charging like the Controllers. And You have to Direct Aim, not behind a blanket, pillow, etc it has to see the Console. But, I LOVE THIS!! And at a Great Price too, this is a MUST Have for any Xbox One Owner.

I use this daily. Makes navigation on the One so much faster than a controller. Want to just watch netflix, or youtube, no more need to turn on a controller have to worry about wasting that battery.

This remote is easy to use for seniors that voice commands or using game controller or app just isn't an option. Plus awesome for late night channel surfing. The remote is small but a bit hefty. The backlit is a perfect touch. So very happy with the purchase.

This helps a ton when watching videos. You don't even have to pair it with you Xbox. It is instant so you don't have to wait for the controller to turn on. It is nice when the audio is loud and voice commands are not an option. It has easy to use buttons.

    Functional - Not Full Featured

The good: The media remove is very functional. It performs as advertised. I find it easier to navigate BluRay menus with the remote versus using the control. It is comfortable in the hand. It has a soft touch plastic backing and it lights up when moved. If you have the TV control set up, it does work the volume/channel/etc of the TV with no set up (presumably using the IR blaster in the Kinect). The bad: First, the remote requires LOS to the IR port. If you have your XBOX ONE in a cabinet, lower shelf, etc, you may encounter problems. Why isn't this using the same wireless technology as the controllers? Moving on, the back has a v-shaped curvature to it. Thus, it won't lay flat on a table. The buttons are flush on the controller and I find that I have to look down to use it.

I appreciate that Microsoft came out with a remote for the Xbox One. I find it easier to move through all the options with a remote rather than the controller. Only problem was that it was not in the store on release day. Even though I pre ordered and paid for it it was not in the store when I went to pick it up. Had to make a second trip to get it.

Sorely missed the number keypad at first, but then found your most recent channels are remembered, so you can move around pretty quickly through the Xbox One station guide. It works fine. Nice size too.

XBox finally gave me the media remote I was waiting for, instead of using the controller to watch my blu-ray or Netflix movies. And I love the compact size. Works great!

This remote is just what I needed for the Xbox One system. Using the voice commands and controller where a hassle at times when watching movies, now it is easier.

I am very happy with this product. It's small but has a nice design. Would give it 5 stars if it included numbers to change channels.

Does what it says it does

I bought this remote control because my wife doesn't like using the Xbox One controller to navigate the system. It definitely does what it says it does. I must say that I was surprised on how slick it looks and it's pretty self explanatory. It navigates the system pretty well and thought the way it navigates internet explorer was pretty clever. However, there are no numbers and no "keyboard" button that would let you type the channel that you want to watch. You have to hit the "oneguide" button on the controller and scroll to whatever channel you want to watch. That is pretty inconvenient. The cost is another issue. I'm not sure that it is worth $25...I think $15-$20 should be more like it. That being said, it is pretty handy for those that want to navigate through the system without using voice commands, game controllers, or keyboards.
