I don't use one for email and unable to use my primary email address. I feel this is foolish. Other than that the setup was fairly easy.

I don't like software subscriptions

We could have purchased a copy we would own, but were told that Microsoft provides minimal updates and support for purchased copies. I would only recommend it because it would be worse to own a copy that isn't supported.
