Was never told about it. But it looks like if you don’t activate it you are fine. I was wondering why he need my card twice and this is why so watch what they do. I like Microsoft office I just think it was scary how it was sold to me.

I had to bring the product back in to BEST BUY for assistance once I got past the initial device - we continued to receive error messages and message of expiration AFTER new installation but finally got those resolved.

Disappointed in Outlook features

With this feedback, Microsoft came out with Office 365 (subscription based only) versions and Office 2016 versions sold at a one-time retail price and you own it forever. Chat support told me that maybe a small server is down and that's why my product key is not found in their database. Phone support should have called me after 13 mins of waiting time but they did about an hour after. Anyway, this guys is now telling me that I need to contact Bestbuy to send my information to MS to activate my product. Chat support said that they would give me a few months of subscription on Office 365 Home without solving my initial problem...

I never used it when the email came in. I did not realize that I was put on AUTO RENEW subscription. 3 months later I had to cancel and get a refund. Luckily I was able to resolve quickly. If you do get it and use it. THen set a reminder or cancel the autorenew if you are not committed to continuing the subscription.
