Microsoft has really improved the lifespan of the rechargeable battery. My only gripe is that it's not included when you initially purchase the system (Comes with 2 AA batteries).

I bought this to replace using AA batteries and so far I get between 20-28 hours of battery usage between charges...I would highly recommend this unit to anyone with an Xbox One.

This was an easy purchase. Anyone should have one to save from having to purchase disposable batteries.

Don't need to buy batteries anymore lol, I charge this thing while I'm playing or overnight and I'm good for hours of fun!

What was I waiting on? After spending so much money on batteries, gosh I wish I would've purchased this a long time ago! Works great and my son is so happy.

Super convenient. Much needed because I burn through batteries anyways. Will probably last longer if you take care of it better than I do!

This a great product. The amount of batteries you go thru on these controllers is costly. This reduce the cost and last a long time

Love rechargeables hate having to buy batteries. Also hating the controller dieing mid match, this enables recharge and wired plug and play and charge. Perfect for my needs.

Even though you have to get an external battery for the xbox one controller, it will not dissapoint. The battery life is way longer than the ps4 dual shock internal battery.

It works great I have not changed it yet and I play like 2 hours a day and a bit more one weekends. So good so far.

Just plug in and continue to play. The included cord has plenty of length to reach the couch.

If you have a XBOX One - you need to get the Play & Charge Kit. It's as simple as that. The battery recharges fast - it last for a long time - and the cable you use to charge (which can be used with any USB power adapter - or the XBOX One USB ports) is very long to give you some freedom as you are charging. The only drawback - which really isn't the fault of the P&C Kit, but instead the XBOX One's - is that there is no indicator to notify you when your battery is low and in need of charging. When its dead, it'll just turn off and you'll have to plug it in to charge. Other than that - this is an excellent product. Highly recommended.

I was told that other brands have cheaper cost, but with the cheaper cost come cheap quality and less longevity. Moreover, I was told that exploding batteries are a possibility. So I went with Microsoft's battery. I figured it best to match battery brand to controller manufacturer in case there were compatibility issues. Early on I would receive "no connectivity" messages, and the controller would shut down. I simply pulled out the battery and reinserted the battery to be sure it was seated properly and the problem went away. the only other note to other buyers would be, "be sure you connect the wire to the controller so it is seated straight." While it will charge if the cord is slightly skewed (yellow light on cable still turns on) , I encourage people to make sure the cable is straight / plugged flush into the controller. This way you are sure to get a premium charge. Enjoy!

My controller works great with this battery! I like that I am able to recharge this while playing... No more batteries!

The battery charge latest me days where as if I went with a off brand one it would last maybe one day.

Love this play and charge kit. I used to change AA batteries all the time and this stays charged for a long time and easy to recharge.

Good product but why this does not come with the Xbox One is beyond me. Come on Microsoft!

This is a great solution. Typical batteries last only a couple weeks in xbox controlers. Having rechargeables that can charge while you play is a money saver
