Pleased to see that this works with the Series S and Series X Xbox controller. You will need your own USB-C cable which is cheap enough. With that you can charge the the controller using the port. This is a good quick alternative for the the version specifically designed for the newer controller.

I bought this for a family member for Christmas. I've had mine for 6 years now since buying my first Xbone and the charge still last a really good amount of time. Also the charging cable is super long with a nice indicator light to show you when it's fully charged. I would highly recommend this to anyone with an Xbox, unlike some other first party controller accessories.

If your the type of gamer that will sit at the TV for over 4 hours at a time this little bugger will definitely save you the time and trouble of putting new batteries in every other day. Also gives your wallet a nice break!

Simply put...it's a life saver. There have been so many times that I have lost a game due to dead batteries. This is great, I charge it overnight and it's good to go for the next round of play. I can't imagine not having it!

If you have an Xbox 1 this is a must have item. I have gaming sessions that can last for hours and I was going through AA batteries like crazy. This is great since you can recharge it, or plug it in and keep going.

This is an authentic microsoft play and charge kit. I love it. I can use the charging cable to use my controller, when there is no battery pack in my conteoller. I love this product and I would recommend it to anyone

I bought 2 non-original batteries before but lasted less than a month each. THis one the battery last for very long time and it hasnt broken after months of usage. Really worth to pay the extra 10 usd (vs non original).

The battery pack works as advertised. Charges up pretty fast and lasts for quite a while with average use (frequently over 2-3 weeks with light-average gameplay). Great investment and much less of a hassle than batteries.

It didn't charge at first but after resetting the system it worked fine. Doing a great job and only needs charged once a week since I only play a few hours a few times a week. Great purchase to avoid battery charges.

I bought this because I was going through too many regular batteries with my xbox controller. This is a cool product because all you do is put this into where the normal batteries would go into your xbox controller.

I have the PS4 and love the fact that I didn't have to pay for a battery pack. With all that being said still like that this battery holds a charge for a good time.

Better to recharge than to have to constantly be buying batteries or having to use the batteries you may have stored somewhere for an emergency. And on the long run I'm pretty sure it pays for itself. Wish they came built in with the controller like PS3 and PS4 but I just guess this is another way for Microsoft to make more money...

Got tired of replacing the batteries in my xbox remote. Worth spending a little on a rechargeable one and it last a long time before needing to be recharged.

I have a ps4, a wii u, and an xbone. while the battery for the xbone controller is not as long lasting as the wii u, it lasts a lot longer than the dualshock 4. I started tomb raider on xmas day, and played daily for hours until new years before i was told that the battery life was low. a good improvement over the 360 batteries.

Great item to have if you game a lot. Easy to use, light on the cable indicates when it is charging and when it is done. No need to remove the battery from the controller. Just plug the cable in and charge.

First off, I'd just like to say that in 2013, every new console should come standard with a rechargeable battery, if not built into the controller. But it IS Microsoft so.... Anyways, the battery itself works well, has a good amount of life and my favorite part a nice long, well built charging cable. It is essentially the same as most micro usb phone chargers, but with a longer better cord, so if you lose it, most likely your phone chargers usb cord will probably work. Must have if you own the Xbox One.
