In this age of gaming it's outrageous to rely on mounds and mounds of disposable batteries. The Play & Charge kit allows you to do exactly what it describes: charge while you play. It also lets you charge the controller even after shutting down the system. The life of each charge is pretty impressive and I noticed it even lasts longer than some "lithium core" super AA batteries.
