I love these play and charge kits for the simple fact that they pay for themselves. Just beware that the battery will start to run down faster and faster over time. One of my old 360 play and charge battery has turned my controller from wireless to wired.

Next Gen $5 bump

While the Xbox One controller is supposed to last a long time on normal batteries, I decided to get the rechargeable kit right away. First, this is $25, while last gen was only $20. The $5 bump is a bit much for what is essentially the same thing. If I had been more patient, I would have picked up the Energizer recharge stand. It comes with two batteries and costs $30, which seems about right.

Great for new Xbox controllers!

Charges much quicker than the older models with the new usb type c. Only problem I can see if these don’t already come in an Xbox controller, sucks you have to buy the separately.
